Dynamic Leadership
Introduction
Dynamic leaders are the individuals with good characters. They tell the truth keep promises and
also possess moral courage for standing up for their values and beliefs, even when it is hard to
do. And the style of leadership adopted by them can be termed as dynamic leadership. Dynamic
leadership motivates the leaders in respecting others and they accept their obligations in positive
manner. The concept of dynamic leadership is segmented in two major parts from which the first
art is the leadership that adapts according to its audience (Iqbal, Anwar & Haider, 2015).
Moreover, dynamic leadership is considered as an empirical tool for overcoming the challenges
for reaching the leaderships changes in the organizational structure. The below presented report
is analyzed for determining the theories and models of leaderships that will help the individuals
in interpreting and explaining the challenges faced by the leaders.
Current roles responsibilities and leadership challenges
ERP Werx is a company situated in Australia and I am an IT manager in ERP Werx. Mostly all
of the networking and IT related issues and its management are to be handled by my team and
me as an IT manager. My role in the organization is to overlook such network related problems
and solve them or designing and deploying different ways to manage the situation (Puni, Ofei &
Okoe, 2014). Another important role is to advise the organization on network and technology
related field and coming up with new strategies to make the pre-existing strategies and
methodologies better by co-coordinating with the team members. Although everything sounds so
easy but it’s not, there are several challenges faced by me as an IT manager and as the leader of
the team for instance, building a high skilled team and keep it motivated is one of the biggest
challenge another issues that can arise are, developing the required skills while time
management, laying out strategy and many more, hiring high skilled employees, building a team
and managing it (Shapiro & Stefkovich, 2016). Explaining changes that are happening in the
organization to each and every one, developing relationship with the internal stakeholder is also
kind of challenge and requires a lot of effort and team work.

Aspects of leadership journey
According to few people, Leadership is a job but I think, Leadership is kind of a journey because
there are so many ups and down during the whole interval (Pennock, 2015). I was very young
when I got my first job, it was a small-scale organization and as soon as I joined the job all I was
thinking about how badly I wanted to be the manager of that company. But it was a terrible
mistake because how can someone become the manager without being managed first. I hated
every activity and task at that time because of lots of responsibility falling on my shoulder. This
made me miserable because I was so bad at managing customers and the employees but the only
part I loved doing was designing software and new technology. But that does not mean anything
until there is progress and that is why I left the job and joined another company and tried to start
over everything all over again. The same thing happened and I had to leave the job again it was a
tough journey and at that time my friends and family supported me and later on I joined ERP
Werx and worked as an assistance manager but later due do my fast learning and improvements I
was promoted as an IT manager (Patapan, 2017). At the very beginning I was asked to manage a
small team and because there were very few members. Approx. 25% of my working hours were
spend in grooming and mentoring the team mates and rest of the time in completing the projects
and tasks. Because that is what leaders are for and to become a good leader it is very necessary to
build trust and this whole changed thinking was because of good mentoring and positive attitude
towards the job. In leadership the most important thing is to not act like a leader all the time but
also work as a team mate along with the whole team and this will develop so many positive
outcome. Being a leader becomes more efficient if the leader involves the employees in every
task and their views and at the end of the day you get yourself a good team.
Summary of Gallup Strength Finder
Gallup strength finder is basically based on expressing all the talents that you possess and do
your best everyday. It emphasizes on our strengths and how we use it irrespective of our
weaknesses and fixing the weaknesses or stop trying to fix our flows and just multiply our
strength and use it (Khan et al., 2015). Another important part is that believers and futurists go
hand in hand and builds a great and strong team. And being a Harmonizer and responsible for
your department can help build a strong relationship on a social level. We all spend so much time
on fixing our flaws and our weaknesses but it is just total waste of time and instead of ironing out

the wrinkles we should do what we already excel at and by doing so we can achieve so many
goals in our field of working and take the responsibility to never let down yourself or anyone and
do your role in the best possible way so in another words it can be said that the strength finder
from gallup focuses on accepting your flaws instead of refurbishing or improving it and in
conclusion wasting your time on it and unleash your natural talents instead of trapping them
(Moura, Leicht, Leite, Crisp & Gocłowska, 2018). I read few another personal leadership skills
and style inventories too and most of them stated that a good leader always leads with his heart
which means opening yourself up in front of your team members and connecting them in a better
way possible and in the end it will be all about creating trust, honesty and strong connection that
will lead to a great success and help achieve many goals.all the self-improvements will help us
make a great leader and who we are when we become the very best of yourself along with
providing insights.
Summary of current feedback
Leadership has evolved me in so many ways and made me more strong, humble, organized and
developed (Liao, Chen, Hu, Chung & Liu, 2017). It is all about team work. It gives us the chance
to gain more and more experiences to develop all the skills let it be social skills or any other
skills. Being a leader I focus mostly on team work and a positive result from it, and in order to
achieve all this a leader requires to work along with the employees too and train them better and
also help them understand everything but at some time a leader needs to be strict too in order to
maintain a discipline and order among the employees to prevent them from taking any bad
decision which can harm the organization in any possible way (Puni & Bosco, 2016).
Communication is very important part of the leadership’s journey because good social skills are
the reason behind a better team and it’s progress and solving all type of conflicts because if a
leader develops a good communication among his or her employees then the staff members will
feel free to discuss all of their problems and new ideas with the leader which will help create new
innovative ideas which can aid in progress and betterment of the business. Personality
assessments are very important for a leader to evaluate the level of progress among his or her
working staff and will also inform the leader about those who are good at their work and those
who are not and according to that, leader will decide the members who deserve a promotion and
others who require more grooming and apart from that a good leader should set a goal for every

task and along with that a deadline in order for the project to get completed in a better way and
faster all these can make leadership fruitful and better in every way possible (Verba, 2015).
Implications of feedback
Some of the major impacts of leadership styles are on the business corporation by affecting
morale of employee’s productivity decision making speed and metrics. All the successful leaders
are supposed to make a careful analysis over the problems, assess the skills level of the sub-
ordinates considers the all the alternate options, and make an informed choice. In addition, a
lasting impact will be offered while making choice of a most appropriate leadership style (Rao,
2015). As presented in the feedback my current role in the mentioned organization is IT manages
and the core roles and responsibilities adhered by me are the networking and IT related issues
and its management are to be handled by my team. Democratic leadership style is the form of
leadership that is pursued by me for the execution of all the roles and responsibilities. According
to this leadership style I allow all the team mates to show their participation and involvement in
the working and decision making processes. This generates motivation and builds their moral
that will result in an increase in their productivity and performance level and will be proven
beneficial for the business corporation.
I noted down that this form of leadership will be proven advantageous for the business
organization on number of grounds. One of the biggest significance that has been experienced by
me is that this leadership style provides solutions to the complex problems and also aids me in
providing alternative options to the same problems (Parés, Ospina & Subirats, 2017). Democratic
leadership also helps me in building strong teams as high level of support and co-operation will
be offered to the team mates and the team mates will be supportive and strong, honest and this
will lead to more collective working.
Link with theory and conceptual framework
After analyzing the above presented report it can be observed that democratic is the leadership
style that is adopted by me for executing all the expected roles and obligations that to in a fair
manner (Ejimabo, 2015). Further, it is also observed that the theory or the framework that can be
linked with the report is the Behavioral theories. This theory is segmented majorly in three types
