Authentic Leadership is considered as an approach to leadership which highlights

optimistic individuals with faithful self concepts who promote openness. Moreover, it often
provides its overall minds as well as hearts of the specific cause. For instance, team spirit and
loyalty may spread across entity, that outcomes into higher morale as well as gaining extra
ordinary outcomes. Authentic Leadership starts with the leader’s awareness that allows him to
build positive relationships and inspire and encourage employees in the right ways. An
atmosphere of openness is key. According to George, one of the core qualities of a leadership
role is authenticity. Without actually being authentic, a leader will never be able to appear as if
he is. It requires a leader to be self-aware and have the ability to recognise and acknowledge his

helps in forming and maintaining organisational behaviour which helps in increasing
performance and overall productivity. There are various leadership styles which helps in
managing people as per the requirement of situation. These styles are autocratic, democratic,
laissez faire which helps leader in authorising and delegating work in teams and organisation.
Leaders exercises control in decision making and directs behaviour of people with the help of
influencing and motivating. This helps company in driving and implementing change in an
orgaistaion. Thus, leadership is an important skill for managing people of a company with
diversity of talent. It involves various traits for managing and leading people such as integrity,
respect, honesty, decisiveness and other essential traits. Communication plays an important role
in leading and channelising group of people in right direction to ascertain team goals in a
company. It helps in developing values and motivating people of an organisation. Leadership is
important for a company to achieve team goals and ascertain require change in work culture. It

helps in shaping right behaviours for accomplishing of work and coordinating efforts. This leads
to enhance performance and commitment towards company. Leadership is considered as both
research area as well as practical competencies that encompass the capability of person, team and
firm for leading, influencing or guiding and other group, individuals or whole entity. Moreover,
authentic leadership is defined as management style in which individuals act in real as well as
sincere manner through being true to itself. Also, these type of leaders are undertaken to be
effective in respect of motivating the faith and loyalty among followers which outcomes in
efficient staff performance (Wenger and Herne, 2020). This is also being believed that leaders
which are authentic bring efficacious longer standing thoughts that are being document as part of
modern leadership. Along with this, the global pandemic as well as related economical crisis
have thrown world off course, considering them into uncharted territory. Within these crisis
circumstances, individuals are operating firms often revert to type. Also, they have to undertake
narrow view as well as try to be in comfort zones within extreme uncertainty faces. The COVID-
19 crisis has developed various complexities to leadership. As crisis management have effective
scripts to obey as well as various leaders into huge firms are prepared should their application be
essential. It also understand the various unique risks for its operations, areas or market which
might pose as well as are ready for addressing cyber security breach or hurricane which might
interrupts enterprises as usual. In addition to this, the COVID-19 crisis also shows few essential

social, economic, technical, environmental and emotional aspect. There are several systems
which are interconnected and there is need to manage them, in effective manner for engaging
into decision making. There are three types of systems that have been adopted within the
leadership crisis. These are mentioned below -
Optimization of the whole system - There is a scenario when there is need to deal with complex,
dynamic and interdependent problem. There is need to manage and evaluate various long term
resilience for focusing upon the strategies and optimising the whole process. This can be
explained with an example that when a company leader makes decision for profit, different parts
of system have to be focused. There are some negative consequences of the system and it
weakens the resilience of whole process. Denmark country has created an integrated response
which has been supporting public health by stopping the corona virus spreading. This provides
boosting of economic resilience. There is a financial support bill which is provided and it
includes that 90% of each and every salary has to be given to all employers for three months.
This will help in retaining talent and provides employees the economic security to pay the bills.
The response of Denmark has increased trust within government that the strategy will be helpful
for optimising the health of whole country.
Data driven - There are various systems that are dependent upon strategy and leadership. These
are strengthened and data is generated. There is an independent system required within data and
it has to be shared as well as curated. This can be explained with an example – South Korea has
to use robust data for building public health strategy at the time of COVID – 19 pandemic. This
country tested widely for understanding and analysing the extent of infection that was spread at
that place.

Rewards cooperation – There is a last factor of complex, integrated and leadership response
which was present at the cooperation. There are several complex dynamic, interdependent
problems which needs data perspective and it has to be understood in proper manner. According
to the ideology, there are several barriers for decision making and cooperation. This has caused
decision for work in the part of system. This diminishes with the overall health of large systems.
When the individuals are using system for evaluating the actions of leaders then there is
managing of different systems that will lead to manage the systems.
There is need of living in a world where leadership has become one of the most important factors
to handle any situation. There are managers within business environment who are called on for
providing leadership which is visionary, transformational, charismatic and authentic. There is
need to manage the work and perform in proper manner for handling the potential work. There is
need to understand and evaluate properly so that project work can be done properly. It is
analysed from the Foucault methodology, it is concluded that change and continuity within
organisation is essential as it explains assumptions, problems and process of forming the truth
claims. An effective leadership is known as presence of having charismatic, visionary and
transformational work. There are several ways to manage the work by adopting leadership
qualities and styles. There is need of compelling and powerful management so that good
performance can be given. At the time of proper development, it is concluded that there is
development of new leadership and it is more valuable and desirable. Leaders of an organisation
are said to be generating both qualitative and quantitative results. There are various problems
within the affair state. The present approach used by companies for developing the leadership.
There is creation of enormous human capability and performance for people within leadership
positions. There are several values important for sustaining a democratic society. This requires
active participation from different citizens which are having highly egalitarian and desirable
attitude. There is current positioning and understanding of problematic consequence in context of
diverse matters including theoretical innovations. These are related to managing of diverse
business situations properly. Leadership is one of the factors which have helped in focusing upon
processes and systems of organisational performance. In context of enlightenment era, there are
several political philosophers who are emphasising upon the problems. There is a process of
formation and this leads to the production of statement regarding leadership. There is need to
have conventional challenge while managing the work.

COVID-19 pandemic when every organisation has to do work from home, leadership helped in
managing the work and meeting goals. While working in the most serious public heath crises,
there is need of managing the functioning of companies in proper manner. All companies have
shut down and they started working from home. There is need of managing the fundamental so
that leaders are to be managed in effective manner so that goals can be attained. When this
pandemic started, there is evolving of evidence of leaders who recognised and empathised the up
healing. There are lot of leaders and who have engineered and executed the communication
campaigns for communicating the work to employees. The CEO of different organisations have
understood that main responsibility of all employees is to take care of self and family. Delloitte
witnessed instances where actions of leaders have focused upon mental emotional and physical
well being. Main affect of COVID – 19 is on engineering and construction companies. They
have stopped working and mutiple live projects have been stopped. It is analysed that great
leaders are prioritising people over business. The main effort of the leaders is on managing
stability of business. There are initial efforts which have focused upon the security of people and
wokring from home. The leaders have to ensure that employees are safe and if they need any
assistance then proper help is providd to them. This will lead to manaeg the work in proper
manner and work inb proper manner. This will help in managing the work and fiocusing upon
the establishment of goals. There is need of evaluating different ways to manage the fucntioning
and attain goals. There is reqirement of planning and develop new ways to manage the work.

anxiety, stress, etc. There is occurence of various factors that costs business leaders in negative
manner. It was not an easy task and there was need to manage teh functioning of organisation
properly. At the time of pandemic, more focus of leaders is on motivating and encouraging
employees. There are several elements that leadesr have analsyed at the time of COVID-19.
These include the following -
Be proactive in managing crisis situations – This is very important for the companies to manage
and tackle different
Keeping community together – it is essential to keep the communities in effective manner so that
work is managed proeprly. This helps in managing the work in effective manner so that
achievemnet of goals is possible.
Be adaptable and flexible – there is need to be adaptive and manage the functioning of processes
in propeor manner. Also, leadership skills are needed for managing the work and controlling
different ways to acheiove the targets and goals.
Communicate – for a manager, the best thing to do is communication. This will help in reaching
the goals and objectives in proper manner. These will help to manage the working in effective
manner and attain goals in proepr manner.
