functions and both
are necessary for
solving the business
complexities and
volatile environment.

Role of leader
The role of leader varies
from a manager. A leader
creates vision and
voluntary forces the
employees to convert the
vision into reality. The
leaders are innovators
and take the risk in
business. The leaders
create trust and builds
relationship with the
stakeholders and
members (Bligh et al,
2018).
The manager controls
the risk in the
organization and
focuses on maintaining
the status quo by
refining its work and
achievement of the
goals efficiently. The
role of manager is to
plan and organize all
the activities in order to
achieve the goals of the
organization. It directs
and evaluates the
performance of the
employees towards the
desired result.

Trait theory of leadership
This theory focuses on the
characteristics of a leader. It
highlights the feature of a leader
and helps in analysing the
personality of a leader based upon
the traits of leader. A leader has a
charisma, intelligence, knowledge,
education, communication skills of
the leader. It also considers the
power and the ability to influence
employees (Inyang et al, 2018).
The scientific theory of
management
In this theory of management a
manager coverts the complex task
into simplifying form to reduce the
burden on the employees and
efficiently achieve the objective.
Taylor believed in simplifying the
task to increase the productivity.
Taylor also focused on providing
fair wages to motivate the
employees and work towards
achievement of goals.

Jack Ma is well known for its leadership
qualities. He perceives problem as an

solution. He has the quality of foresight
and motivates the employees to achieve
the goal. He has positive attitude and is
