EFFECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON BRANDING
Introduction
The report will be based on the analysis of the case study based on the management of
the off-site team by Craig. The issues that are being faced by Craig to solve the various
contradictions that have developed between the members of the organization. Craig Bedell
was the business head of Impressions Corporation. The contradictions had occurred between
the members of the organization named Penelope and Allison who are working in the off-site
project of the organization named Pnobscott. The problems have occurred due to the loss of
proper communication between the two members in the off-site working location (Maruca
1998). The case study is further based on the letter that has been written by Allison to the
business head of Impressions Corporation regarding the various issues that are being faced by
due to the communication gap that is probably being caused by Penelope. Allison was
dissatisfied regarding the meeting that was held between Penelope and the business head
organization related to the performance and issues in the Pnonscott project.
The report will be thereby based on the ways by which the business head of the
organization had tried to take steps regarding the various issues faced by the members in the
off-site area.
Discussion of the case
The major mistakes that were made by the business head of the organization, Craig
had not been able to monitor the activities and the relationship levels within the members.
The business head was a manager and a facilitator of the organization at the same time.
Managing the duties and relationships of the employees was a major responsibility of Craig.
As discussed by, Arashpour et al. (2017), he was on the other hand not able to manage the
employee relationships of the off-site workers in an effective manner. The manager was
highly concerned about the work that is being completed by the employees on the site rather
than managing the relationships between the members. Craig has previous knowledge about
the past issues that were already present between Allison and Penelope. However, he did not
try to manage them on a personal level along with their work process.
As argued by, Bales, Fox and VanNevel (2017), the major issues that were being
faced by the employees who work on the off-site team were related to the lack of interaction
between them. The employees have their own schedules and they work according to that.
According to Craig the employees are not that type who will try to take advantage of the high

freedom that was provided to them. The lack of interaction between the employees and the
ways by which they formulate their own schedules is a major issue that has occurred in the
off-site location. The meetings that were held by the manager and the human resource
manager with the employees who are a part of the off-site location was not quite high. The
high levels of freedom that was provided to the employees was also a major reason behind
the lack of efficiency that is depicted by them in the project. The arrangement related to the
various organizational processes in the off-site locations was made two and a half years ago.
According to, Colomo-Palacios et al. (2014), the employees used to stay in contact with the
manager with the help of e-mails and other processes. This type of communication thereby
lacked the ways by which the manager can be successful in detecting the relationship levels
between the employees. The number of meetings that were held between the employees and
the managers were low and Craig was thereby unable to monitor the work process and
relationships between them. The process by which the employees meet with the
representatives of accounts and the various off-site programs were not managed in an
effective manner. The manager is almost disconnected from the off-site employees and the
ways by which they are working with each other. This had thereby led to the lack of
communication between Allison and Penelope who already had a contradiction in the past.
Allison had thereby e-mailed a letter to the business head regarding the problems that were
being faced and the ways by which Penelope acted as if she was superior to her and had
asked her to follow her instructions (Pfeffer 2014).
As discussed by, Toivonen and Toivonen (2014), the on-site team had become
ineffective due to the extensive freedom that was given to the employees regarding their work
schedules. This had caused a lack of interaction between the employees who were working
on the site. The lack of proper supervision had also caused the ineffectiveness that was
evident in their work process. Although the team was able to achieve the goals and objectives
that were provided to them, they were totally disconnected from each other. This can further
affect their sustainability in the future operations. The effectiveness can be increased by the
business head by supervising the site once in a week. The manager also needs to create a
work schedule that needs to be followed by the employees.
The issues and the contradictions that have occurred among Allison and Penelope can
be reduced if the manager is able to increase their levels of contact. This will thereby help
them in coordinating with each other and solving their personal issues as well. The high

interaction levels will improve their relationship and solve the issues that are being faced by
them in the work process and their personal relationships as well.
Conclusion
The report can be concluded by stating that the employees of the on-site team need to
communicate with each other and the manager on a regular basis. This will help in improving
the efficiency of the team and further the relationships among the employees can also be
improved. The collaboration of employees is important for the proper functioning of the
organization on the longer term. The perfect supervision is important for the improvement of
the efficiency of the employees and the organization as a whole. The on-site teams need to
collaborate much more as compared to the teams within the office as they need to achieve the
objectives with the help from one another.
