3.1 Introduction

methods help to get result of the research processes such that the identified objectives are met.

management styles followed in the Dublin banking sector. The methods help the researcher to
identify the research related problems which are limiting the research processes. The research
methods help to better analysis the selected topic to review different leadership styles of the

as it helps to explain assumption procedures undertaken by the researcher to conduct the research
paper. Selection of suitable research philosophy is based on the nature of research study. There
are three types of research philosophy (Brannen 2017). First one is positivism which deals with

The research approach is used to guide the researcher such that they can conduct the

research content. There are two types of research approaches. First one is deductive approach
starts with a research statement as well as questions which are to be answered in the research

is secondary data collection which is collected from secondary sources such as peer review

method is used where the participants are selected for this study based on no such particular
criteria (Mackey and Gass 2015 2015). The participants are selected on random basis. Into the
sampling technique, each of population members is consisted of equal chance to be selected as
the research subject. The sampling is consisted of single steps with the selected subject of

members of the target population. It is referred to various selection methods in which the
members of sample are being selected by chance, but it is known to probability of the population
selection. It is considered as critical element to entire survey research designs.
3.7.2 Sample size
The population is total number of people those are involved into the research study. The
employees of Dublin Banking Sector are considered to be the target population for this study.
The researcher is not the participants where smaller representation of the research population is
considered as sample (Flick 2015). With help of the questionnaire, the employees are selected as
participants and the sample size selected for this particular thesis study is 50.
3.8 Ethical considerations
This research study is followed code of conduct so that they can maintain a strict research
ethics to perform work in this study. The respondents those are involved into the study are not
given any pressure and they are not forced to provide their responses for survey questions. The
data collected based on the survey questionnaires are not used for any other purposes except
academic purpose only. There are no form of commercial applications are being performed. The
primary data collection is being performed to maintain anonymity of the research participants.
The information those are collected by primary data collection method are not disclosed to others
and there are no access of any third party to get the collected data.
3.9 Research limitations
The research limitations are common in the research study as there is restricted scope.
The employees those are involved into the research study are being biased towards the banking
sector which can affect the research findings. The issues in this study are related to research

reliability. It is seen that because of cross sectional nature of this particular research study, the
researcher has faced limitation of time as they are getting short time to perform the study. A
deeper and detailed work is not performed due to limitation of research time. Due to limitation of
budget for the research study, there is no usage of application of SPSS analysis and therefore
there is lack of quality of the collected data.
