Introduction
Leadership and management both are required to
run an organisation. Leadership itself is a part of
management. A good manager must be a good
leader too. Both possess different qualities that are
essential to achieve the targets and for the
development and growth of organisation.

A successful leader
There are many things that must be
included in order to become a
successful leader. One must possess
required skills, qualities, talents and
competencies so that effective
leadership can be provided to the
subordinates and they may achieve
the desired results (Othman and
Rahman, 2014).

Developing good leadership
There are many theories related to developing a good
leadership. It is done so to bring personal and
professional development in the individual and in
organisation. There are many theories to develop
god leadership. There are many advantages too
associated with it. Good leadership tends to
enhance productivity. Different theories give
different aspects in this regard (Storey, 2016).

Situational theory
In addition to this, there are some strategies

leaders. They can be initiating with more
work, learning perspective, inspiration for

Leadership v/s Management
Leadership and management are two different
processes. Leadership involves influencing
others and providing subordinates with
necessary and timely guidelines. On the other
hand, management involves managing and
controlling activities going on in an
organisation (Bargau, 2015).
