Leadership and management plays an important role while providing health care facilities
to patient. In my view the role of doctors, nurses and mid-wife's towards patient has a stringent
role as they act quickly in emergency situation giving priority to profession in front of personal
life. The leadership skills are very crucial in health care systems so as to carry out efficient
practices in a healthy environment (Hébert, 2015). The effective leader or manger at health care
institute needs to have a proper command on communication skill. I assume that such leadership
and management qualities helps in resolving and reducing conflicts between employees and
patients.
According to me the leadership and management skills used by health care professionals
focus on reducing waiting time for the new cases and provides better treatment to patients
thereby satisfying their hygiene needs (Johns, 2017). I being a health service provider focus on
leadership in the Cardiologist department by managing and developing the cardiologist activities
within my guidelines. I daily execute different challenging work provided by my seniors who set
rules and regulations for practising cardiac activities. I am keen to motivate my staff by giving
them objectives that I feel are appropriate and within their capabilities. I usually possess
transformational leadership quality (Knott and Scragg, 2016).
Thus in my view the leadership and management activities are important to any health
care department which comprises of doctors, mid-wife's, nurses and patients. It is crucial top
manage time in an effective manner so as to provide quality services to patients thereby
controlling wastage of time (Redmond, 2017).
