INTRODUCTION
In the personal and professional life development, the presences of leadership and
management skills helps an individual's capability to influence others (Barnes, and Rennie,
2021). In the overall development of an individual, these skills are important for growth and
expansion of a business. This project includes self reflection on various models and theories that
applied in the field of leadership for good and effective results. The report includes the planning
and growth measures in the life of an individual to develop personal and individual goals.

Assessment of current leadership and management capabilities with a range of academic and
theoretical models
I am developing leadership skills in myself for a long time in order to make my self
competent in career related life. In order to develop effective leadership and management style, it
is important to analyse other skills like time management and problem solving skills. The
application of different theories and models will help me to grow all type of leadership skills in
order to lead the competition. I understand that application of contingency theory will help me to
develop leadership techniques according to situation (Harrison, Burnard, and Paul, 2017). This
will support me in management of the whole situation while developing a good amount of focus
on the task. In order to manage effective relationship between different employees in my
organisation, I will use the application of transformational leadership theory. To develop the
major targets and focus on them with utmost supervision, I will practice transactional leadership
theory. This theory will help me to develop effective and fundamental skills which are required
for team work and development. In order to manage the employee's behaviour in the business
entity to develop effective and precise attitude in employees. The various leadership styles and
theories will help me to manage all the teams in the company with ethics and integrity. The
application of human relationship theory in my organisation will help to increase the harmony
between different employees. This will also help in developing positive traditions and ethics in
all my team members. In order to achieve sustainable business goals, I will use my planning and
strategic skills (Kunaviktikul, Turale, and Stone, 2018). I will try to develop effective leadership
styles which also includes the implementation of delegation of leadership styles. This will help
me in formulating major decisions of the organisation by using the advice and involvement of
different employees.

Identification of leadership strengths and weaknesses of self
Identification of leadership strengths and weaknesses is very much crucial and important
for an individual to perform self assessment. My democratic leadership style is very good which
will help me to formulate major decisions with the participation of team members. Another
major strength of mine is time management which will help me to lead other on routine
management (Repetckaia, and Repetckii, 2021). My problem solving skills are weak, which can
put a major harm on me while practising major type of leadership skills related to management
of people. In order to increase my management skills, I will also identify my weaknesses and
improve them using different theories. I will use the application of human relationship theory in
order to increase harmony and healthy relationship between my team members. The presence of
critical thinking skills is very less in me, so I will improve these skills by developing a precise
approach and strategy for a set period of time. Professionalism in my personality is also one of
my major weakness that will create an obstacle for me in managing people. In order to develop
dynamic professionalism in my personality, I will take help of my seniors and professors. All the
weaknesses will be my strength if I developing positive thinking skills in a defined period of
time. In order to utilise all my strengths in a systematic manner, I will take into consideration
advice of my seniors and professors. I will develop leadership skills while focusing on
improvement of different objectives that are effective in developing major and crucial business
objectives.

The preparation of a plan and strategy which will be useful in developing my leadership
and management skills is essential for me. I will also take help of management approaches which
are beneficial for me in developing desired and necessary skills (Sakowski, Hewitt, and Wagner,
2020). My plan will be set for a specified time frame and the major targets and aims related to
the plan will be achieved by me using effective approaches.
