Dear Brittny Giannetta,
Good Morning,
Good to know that you are working at a healthcare industry and getting to learn
different concepts related to management. Based on your discussion post I could see that you
stated in your first insight that you found scientific management to be not as prevalent at the
present scenario as it used to be in the past. Even I had a similar opinion as you have
received. However, when I focused on studying over the perspectives I have about scientific
management, I came to realise that scientific management still exists in the concept of the
business organisations and its working structure. It appears with the help of the studies that
scientific management is what helps the business firms to implement the strategies of the
innovated form of technologies into their plans and processes. It is also possible that the
researches may have shown the negative side on the concept of scientific management that
prevails in the modern world or to be precise, the limitations I had to my research.
Nevertheless, don’t you think that it is possible that our viewpoint on the concept of the
scientific management is the result of the belief in the concept of biasness?
Anyhow, the others insights out forward by you concerning the fourth and the seventh
principle of Fayol have completely matched my viewpoint that the managers have to think on
creativity, and the employees have to work on the same as well as the payment system of any
business organisation should be motivational in nature so that the employees can be sustained
in one particular organisation, respectively.

Dear Andrea De La Brena,
Good Morning,
Concerning the study of your post, I could see that you somehow have mixed
experiences with regards to your working life. Hope that you are doing good, I would like to
say that every individual faces both good and bad experiences throughout their life-cycle.
Even I gain both good and bad working experiences in my working life. It was good to know
that you loved to work with the video research of Sir Frederick Taylor and got positive
responses about how he stated for the betterment of the employees. I could also see that you
were disregarded with the bad reviews given on the video. I had the same viewpoint as yours
when I saw the reviews. Nonetheless, when I tried to understand the negative comments, I
came to realise that not every individual has the same viewpoint on everything. The thinking
of every individual differs according to their own mental state.
Take your own viewpoint of the second insight in consideration, where you felt the
negativity in the video about the managers being the thinkers and the employee being the
doers. You felt that even the employees could be the thinkers and the statement that they are
only the thinkers came out to be harsh to you. Similarly, every other individual has different
thinking about one concept or the other. This is all the outcome of the biased thinking
individuals have.
Concerning to your third insight, I could clearly see that you enjoyed your training
video and also that your current manager is a better one according to you when compared to
the previous one. An overall view of your insights can clearly conclude that not every
individual has the same nature and thinks as per the same thought process.

Dear Alexus Taylor,
Good Morning,
Based on your posts, the first insight you have put up have really put me into awe.
The manner in which you have determined that working has its own positive, as well as
negative concepts in any business industry, has made my viewpoint clear about how the
different companies are finding new and innovative ways to improve its working structure in
the near future. You even exclaimed that there are several companies who are not using the
rule stated as Work Smarter and Not Harder. You effectively connected the theory led by Sir
Taylor on how organisations need to manage their work and utilise every employee
connected to the organisation that would make things easier and convenient for the
organisation.
Concerning to your second insight, it was examined that you found the Hierarchy of
the Scientific Management laid by Sir Taylor to be the keyway in the leading of the
management and I completely agree to this thought of yours.
However, concerned with your third insight, I realised that we have different viewpoints
regarding designating qualified people into the managerial posts. I somehow feel that
knowledge comes out of the experience and not a qualification. It is not really necessary that
individuals who have a higher education degree are the only one who will prove to be good
managers.
