INTRODUCTION
Management is all about handling of various business activities in proper manner by
leading an organization in much better way (Wallom and et. al., 2011). However, assignment is
classifying into various sections for highlighting the effect of leadership characteristics as well as
various ways of managing organization in effective manner. Analysis of personal SWOT,
determination of skills requires to career development and attractive CV is also outlining in this
project. Along with this, justification of managerial decision is also described in this assignment.
TASK 1
1.1 Compare different management styles
Management is word which denotes the technique that is adopted by leaders while
managing various business activities as well as role played by managers to create an outstanding
team.
However, number of management styles are described which might be used by leaders to
perform their leadership roles. Some are described as follows:-

1.2 Leadership characteristics Honesty:- According to this term leaders needs to be very honest towards their work by
performing their job role in much better way. It means, they are responsible for assisting
employees towards corrective path. Thus, honest managers are liable to treat every team
members in similar manner without discriminating between them. Creativity:- Guidance to subordinates is a major responsibility of successful leader which
means they need to come up with innovative ideas for establishing a benchmark for
others.
Confidence:- Decisional process has been taken by head. Thus, it is essential to be very
confident while making company decision (Ilieva and Karaatanassov, 2016).
D1 Appropriate leadership characteristics for Marriott hotel
Marriott hotel is most leading organization from entire hospitality industry due to which
it is indispensable to consider all the necessary facts or figures before showing a leadership
characteristics. According to my opinion communication skill is most appropriate talent because
interaction is a major concept for organizational success and development. Basically, hospitality
industry is based on mainly positive relations with various customers because politeness or
proper behaviour only attracts clients. As a result company get succeeded in establishing their
positive image at marketplace.

1.3 Communication process in selected business
Effective interaction is a process of transferring corrective information and data across
the workplace. It helps supervisors to pass instant news to the employees for immediate action.
Thus, various types or process which is used by company for interaction process are explained as
follows:-

Verbal If employees are going to communicate verbally or orally then it
is known as a verbal communication. For example; interaction at
office place in between two employees while discussing terms

which assist employees towards corrective path. Therefore, culture of hospitality industry needed

T (Time bound):- I want to overcome this problem in a defined time frame.

3.1 Lead and motivate a team to attain an agreed goals or objectives
Leaders are responsible for assisting employees in order to attain certain goals or targets
in a defined time frame (Ficarra and Ficarra, 2010). Thus, few measures is taken by managers
while motivating employees towards their organizational objectives is described as follows:-

Conduct various programmes or sessions for improving their knowledge which may
attract minds of millions of workers as most of them are working for enhancing their
learnings.
Need to use various motivational approaches such as; Maslow hierarchy theory in which
leaders can easy highlight the indispensable needs of a person because of that they get
encouraged towards performing job role in a same sector or association.
Show them future benefit by designing an appropriate map or direction.
Create a mutual understanding with them.
3.2 Justification management decisions to support organizational goals
Management decision is totally appropriate because no one get agree to work in failure
organization as everyone wants to be a part of a successful business. It is only happen if
managers get succeeded in attracting minds of their employees by showing them corrective path
with the help of various useful motivational approaches (Hiura,and Motohashi, 2010).

Scholars are coming with distinct of ideas and thoughts for assisting employees to get
attracted towards their assigned job role. Thus, few suitable theories which is adopted by
managers to encourage workers are ; herzberg's two factor, Maslow hierarchy theory, ERG and
so on (Rizviand et. al., 2015).
