this positions.
General intelligence: It is related to fundamental and intellectual capacity which also
important to appoint any individual as candidates should have knowledge or intelligence for
judging necessary things and their management. It play important role in hiring process. But in
the PM company, it is not necessary to consider this factor due to selecting a staff for delivering
couriers so few works include a proper pattern that is to be followed.
Physical attributes: In the process of selections and recruitment, this factor is also
consider in which I will ensure about candidate's health which must be good, physiques,

candidates will be short listed on the basis of work delegation, communication abilities, excellent
character, decision-making and motivations skills.
Great man theory: In this leadership styles defined that the leaders characteristics are inherited

skills as well as through individuals creativity, responsibilities and their intelligence.

Management Leadership
6
Document Page
The responsibility of manager is to carry out
the important functions of management like
planning, organising, leading and controlling.
Leader can be anyone as it is not necessary to
occupy a management position and they
generally influence people's behaviours
through inspiration and motivation
Managers can be leaders as they perform some
responsibilities of management including
communication, motivation, providing
inspiration and encourage employees for
increasing higher level of productivity
Leaders usually followed by the people
because of their behaviour, personality and
beliefs. They provide motivation to the
employees for performing task and leading
them effectively.
All manager are not leader because they do not
have quality to influence and inspire the people
behaviour and employees follow their order
because obligation.
Leaders have power to possess their followers
as the rights are awarded to a leader and can be
conditional which is based on the ability of
leader to inspire and motivate their followers.
2.3 Comparison of leadership styles for different situations
In the organisation, various situations and problems can be arise while running the
business. PM company is already facing many issues due to some circumstances, so as a HR

people because proper communications required with stakeholders regarding the vision and

are required from employees side for obtaining the task or vision. It will help in developing the
problem solving skills which is needed for a team leader for managing team member effectively.
