activities and tasks which help to hire right candidate for the required position (Day, 2014). I was
involved in a selection process because I know on which basis candidates get selected at
workplace. For example; judges or jury members are hiring employees on the basis of their
talent, education qualification like; graduate people are appoint as salesmen and so on. In fact, I
have observed numerous of things which act as evidence that I was a part of selection process
such as-
Number of candidates which are available for interviewing session like; around 20
individuals are present for job.
Selection are accomplishing on the basis of experience, diploma and master degree.
Almost one subject judge, one management member, one HR manager is available at
selection process.
Around 2-3 hours was consumed in this entire process.
Almost 3-4 rounds are there for getting selected as a salesmen.
Thus, above elements are acting as an evidence which proofs that I was a part of selection
process and know the overall procedure of hiring a final employee at workplace.
1.4 Contribution towards election process
There are many ways through which human resource department select the appropriate
candidate for the vacancies available in organisation which are defined as follows:
By selecting panels of selection and recruitment: For selecting right employee for
organisation HR department select right panel of selection and recruitment process. In company,
the HR is going to conduct interviews for hiring for three positions. So, there should be three
selection panel for recruitment of new employees in the organisation who take interview of
candidates.
Short listing: When applications of selected candidates are received, the selective panels
prepare a list by using different methods and techniques. There are some popular techniques and
methods of short listing viz; IQ test through creating the MCQ question papers, etc. which helps

to organise in selecting right candidate for required position according to their ability (Flint,
2011).
Interviews: In this process recruitment and selection panel takes interview of selected
individual. In process of interview the panel questions about their background, their education
background, culture background, their experience, etc.
Appointment: That candidate is selected for the required position who satisfy the
requirements of interviewer through his skills and capabilities. In appointment process HR
department provide final hiring letter for those individuals who clear all rounds of interviews
which is organised by recruitment and selection panel.
Through the above evidences of selection process it has been understood that I am a very
indispensable part of selection process in an organization because I know every depth of the
overall procedure. Basically, I am playing a role of management member and liable for
managing all the process in proper manner in order to attain the set objective. As our main
motive is to hire best or eligible person for the post of salesmen. This is only possible if all the
activities are properly organized and managed without any confusion or mistake. Along with
this, I am arranging all the activities in suitable manner and collecting relevant data or
information about each or every candidates for making corrective decision. Additionally, I am
suggesting also to other jury members while making final decision in selecting best candidate.
