INTRODUCTION
Management is the supportive aspect to manage the overall operational activities that

In this report the company is to be taken is Asda Stores plc, it is a British supermarket
retailer in Leeds, West Yorkshire. It was establish in year of 1949 and expanded into overall into
1970s and 1980s as well as acquired Allied carpet. The annual revenue is around 21,666 million
pounds as with employees 1,65,000 are actively participate in overall branches of Asda Stores.
This report is covering the different role and characteristics of leader and manager, by using of
examples reflect the role of leader and function of manager in situational context (Battaïa and et.
al., 2018). To apply different leadership theories, discuss the main key approaches to operational
