LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT
Trait Theory
Identification of leadership traits
The trait theory of the leadership is considered as a primary assumption that defines
the leaders have such traits or characteristics in born and due to having these qualities or
traits, they become a successful leader (Maak, Pless & Voegtlin, 2016). This theory
comprises such behavioural traits which must be have in a leader. According to the trait
theory of leadership, such common leadership related traits are such as proper cognitive
skills, motivation skills, confidence.
As stated for cognitive skills, this skill helps to become an effective leader because it
provides a proper idea for solving any difficult case happening in working environment or
other (Nanjundeswaraswamy & Swamy, 2014). For stating this part, it has selected the
organization of RBC financial in which the leaders have such effective skills for meet their
financial targets. Among the other skills, this skill helps to the leaders to identify the
problems and after that, it is required for the leaders to analyse the issues for finding the
reasons of that issues and next it has to make planning with the creative thinking as well as
wisdom for solving the issues (Yahaya & Ebrahim, 2016). Moreover, the leaders have an
additional responsibility for solving the issues for conducting the team or work group to
achieve the organizational objectives.
According to the motivation skills, these skills are described as the actions which
stimulate a particular behaviour from the stakeholder. Actually, these skills are the
combination of such parameters like motivation style, target audience and also influencing
personality. For motivating the people of RBC financial, it is necessary to provide influence
in their working, make proper communication among work peoples, sharing of feedback on
their progress as well as provide the rewards for the expected outcome etc. (Mohammed et

al., 2014) For considering motivation skills, it needs to allocate the professional development
related resources to motivated employees.
Depending on the confidence, the confidence acts as the basic step for the leadership.
At RBC financial, this confidence helps to become a better problem solver as well as
effective communicator or mentor which leads to be an effective leader. Most of the team
members are interested to work with that of the leader who has proper confident and also
provides confidence to the members for achieving their target (Iqbal, Anwar & Haider, 2015).
Moreover, this confidence of leader provides them to stay with happiness as well as keeping
better relationship with team members and always provide them motivation for achieving
their business targets.
Trait not belonging to trait theory
According to the trait theory of leadership, most of the traits of the leadership belong
within this theory. But for becoming an effective leader, it must ensure that the leader has
proper commitment capability to their team members (Khuong & Hoang, 2015). This
commitment factor is one kind of leadership quality which helps to inspire as well as attract
the team members. It is mandatory to have this quality within the leaders because it is not
only transmitting the overall work among the team members to achieve the organizational
mission, but also there must exist commitment which helps to complete the proposed work
and offers the inspiration or motivation to the employees of team members for achieving the
mission of the organizational outcomes.
Effective leader
Depending on this analysis, I think that I would be become an effective leader during
the period of continuation of job at RBC financial. However, in this organization, it does not
depend the judgement on the ability of the leaders for meeting their financial targets. In this

organization, through various grooming sessions, it cultivates the leadership qualities in their
mind for achieving their targets (Ali et al., 2015). During the job period of this organization,
with the help of grooming lessons, I have learnt most of the leadership qualities including
commitment, motivation, cognitive skills and others which helps to become me an effective
leader for accomplishing the organizational mission by motivating people.
Situational, Transformational and Servant Leadership
Situational Leadership
The situational leadership defines as a kind of leadership by which the leader changes
his leadership style in accordance with the situation of the organization. Within this
leadership style, the leader changes his leadership style as per the requirements of the co-
workers or this leadership style is mainly situation based.
Transformational Leadership
On the other side, the transformational leadership style is referred as a leadership in
which the leaders can understand about the requirements change of the workers and therefore,
it has to done by the leader to create a proper guidance for reaching the changing of the
requirements through inspiration and also by making a vision, it executes a transformation of
leadership style for meeting the needs of the workers.
Servant Leadership
Apart from that, the servant leadership defines as the philosophy of the leadership by
which the leader is loyal with this goal of serving (Asrar-ul-Haq & Kuchinke, 2016).
According to this leadership, the main intension of the leaders is to thrive the company. For
that, they can act as a servant to achieve the company related goals.
Based on these three leadership approaches, both of the situational and servant
leadership approaches are effective for the organization. However, since the situational

leadership depends on the situation, therefore it is beneficial for the workers of the
organization because in accordance with the situation, the changing of the workers happen or
it may happen the changes in their requirements (Veliu et al., 2017). In that case, through this
leadership style, the leaders can change their leadership styles in order to meet the workers’
need for reaching the organizational target. On the other hand, with the help of servant
leadership, the leaders are loyal to their work by becoming as a servant of the organization. In
this style, the main motive of the leaders is to thrive their organization by producing the
desired outcomes.
According to the organization of RBC financial, there occurs several grooming
session for leadership qualities and in that case, they are loyal with their financial working of
this organizations. In accordance with my experience, the leaders of this organization are
always trying to achieve their financial targets for producing more business outcomes.
Identification of leader
The integration of power and leadership is either good or bad for the society.
According to the harmful way, one of the most relevant example relates with Jim Jones who
was popular for cult as well as selfish leader for the situation while Leo Ryan went to
compound and Jones’s followers had left them from the compound and killed Ryan and
moreover, he was also famous for happening a suicide case of 900 people by drinking
cyanide. On the other hand, Mother Teresa who is also popular for her kindness and also
motivation. She was famous for her caring nature (Efferin & Hartono, 2015). To compare
both of these characteristics, the positive way if use of power is important for the leadership
because with this, it helps to change the behaviours of any human being.

Leadership scenario
In the first scenario, it has been displayed that the employees are underperforming due
to the absence of confidence (Yıldız, Baştürk & Boz, 2014). For solving this issue, first of all,
it needs to identify the reasons for which the lack of confidence issue happens, after that this
scenario carries the selling styles. Through this styles, the leader provides their ideas or
messages to the workers so that they can able to solve this issue.
In the second scenario, it displays that one employee deteriorates her works by feeling
demotivating as well as unhappiness etc. For solving this problem, it carries the supportive
leader behaviour style by which the leader motivates the employee towards her satisfaction
on works.
The third scenario carries the achievement related leadership styles by which the
leader can establish the challenging goals for the employees and after achieving the
challenging targets, the leaders can give the appropriate reward to the employees for
motivating towards their works.
The forth scenario follows the motivation related leadership by which the leaders
provide rewards for achieving the targets. The proper reward motivates the people towards
their working.
As per the fifth scenario, the general manager or leader requires to provide such
innovative ideas by which the employees can attract towards their works for achieving the
organizational goals. Moreover, the proper communication and also motivation property
helps them to reach their targets.

LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT
Personal leadership / management profile
According to the leadership, the leaders are considered as the models for the
organizational excellence (Nwokocha & Iheriohanma, 2015). The leaders of the organization
have the capability of directing as well as motivating people towards their works. According
to my opinion, for becoming an effective leader, it has to happen some characteristics like
motivation, honesty, communication, commitment etc.
However, the communication quality helps to make an effective communication cycle
among the overall workers because with effective communication, it makes an attachment
with the employees so that they are loyal in accordance with their working. The honesty
within the leadership, helps to maintain the leadership role along with the integrity. Moral
leadership is too much strategic because it helps to determine success factor of failure factor
of the achievement of the goals. Moreover, the honesty is the basic concept for this policy.
The commitment helps to achieve the proposed target in accordance with the
organizational goals. It helps to be kept the trust on the leaders which is beneficial for
business outcomes. Moreover, the commitment involves in the leadership for the employees
for completing their tasks within a specific period of time.
On the other side, the confidence must obtain in the leadership according to my
opinion because with the help of this factor, the leaders provide the confidence to the
employees so that they can capable to perform their working. Moreover, the confidence also
helps to leaders for achieving their business targets.
The accountability in the leadership is directly proportional with the business
outcomes because for the leaders, the organizational mission or goals are the ultimate motive
and for that, the organization can achieve their desired business outcomes. If the leaders are

effective in account with their responsibilities, therefore it is possible for achieving the
business targets.
Power and influence in the leadership is also important factor because the integration
of this power and leadership plays either good thing or bad thing for the organization. The
good effects of the combination of power and leadership creates a good impression in every
employee’s mind and it helps to provide support for achieving their targets. Moreover, due to
this factor, the working environment remains good in nature and also avoids the conflict
inside the organization.
