always possess power or resources to lead but it is his or her duty to ensure that they always lead
their teams in their specific moments of crisis. It is the duty of a leader to ensure that he or she is
by the side of the followers at all times.
Answer 1 a):
It is not right for a leader to search for favourable conditions only in order to search for
the specific people concerned. It is always better for a leader to employ a constructive method of
leadership and certain positive influences in all stages of the organisational and program oriented
procedures. Therefore it is best to ensure that the dealings of the leaders with his or her followers
are always nice, cordial and positive.
The capacities for efficient leadership are not always inbuilt in every person. This is
because of the reason that all of the leadership capabilities cannot be inbuilt from the start in
every person who aspires to be a leader. Instead it is possible for people to ensure that they
imbibe the positive qualities of leaders each day so that the end result is proper. This experience
of all the classes has been truly great. The achievement regarding the maintenance of
relationships which people need in their lives are extremely essential for them to survive. The
negative functions of forcing, compelling, blaming and nagging need to be stopped at all costs.
This will help to ensure that all the negative aspects of leadership are not being encouraged.
Control and exercising control is not the only aspect of leadership. It is the duty of the leaders to

ensure that they imbibe the positive qualities within themselves such that their relationships with
their subordinates grow and become much more positive.
Answer `1 b):
The learning experience has deeply impacted my mind as a leader. This is because the
leaders experience the impact of behavioural changes among their group. It might often happen
that the leaders do not like the behaviour which is shown by their subordinates. Instead of
showing a bad reaction or scolding their subordinates the leaders need to take care and manage
the situation. I try to apply these principles in my day to day activities. Earlier I used to believe
that the concept of leadership is concerned only with the exercise of power or control but later on
I came to realise that showing power or exercising control is not correct and these contribute
towards the dark side of leadership.
I used to feel that I do not have much of a capacity as a leader because I used to get angry
in any situation and I used to face issues which were related to the angry reactions which I used
to face in such cases. I also was not at all adjusting and was used to getting my own way in my
life which led to the wrong conception in my life that everything was easy to be achieved. This
helped me in the overall understanding of the fact that all my basic assumptions regarding such
situations were wrong. I tried and understood others problems better, I used the opportunities of
discussion in my friend’s circle to utilize the things which I have learnt from my class and try to
become a better person. I feel that if a person becomes a better human being only then can he or
she become a better leader. This helped me utilize the experiences learned in the class
positively.

With my daily experiences and the positive responses which I started receiving from my
friends and my near and dear ones I started to realise that there had been a distinct change in my
leadership strategy. The way I looked at problems and situations were different and there was an
overall acceptance in my attitude. I have also demonstrated respect for my friends and have been
understanding and caring.
Answer 1 c):
I feel that the entire learning experience has been extremely fruitful for me as it has
completely transformed me as a person for the better. I have become much more cooperative and
understanding towards the different factors and ideals which have helped me develop as a person
and become a better leader. The feedback which I have received from my near and dear ones has
helped reinstate the trust which I had in my respective abilities.
Answer 2 a):
An important fact which I have taken with me in this specific regard is that the idea of
leadership is basically about influencing others. Therefore it is necessary for the leaders to know
and also be willing to influence others in a positive and noteworthy way. This is bound to help
the leaders develop a mindset which helps in the overall solution of the problems in their lives as
well as in the lives of their followers. In life I might work at a place which requires me to
demonstrate proper leadership abilities and lead the people working with me. In such a situation I
will ensure that I fulfil all the criteria which I have been asked to achieve. I will try to be a friend
and guide my team members and ensure that they are at ease in their respective genres of work. I
will maintain my personality and image to be majorly friendly so that they do not feel afraid or
awkward in approaching me in case of any issue in their areas of work.

Influence goes a long way in making a person a great leader. I will try to ensure that at
my place of work my ideals and personality are such that people feel happy and excited to work
with me. I will also try to become a person who has inspiration to do well in life. There might be
logical appeals and also the idea of racial persuasion. I will try to ensure that the qualities like
fairness, equality, excellence are all maintained or strived for in all the organisational functions.

I feel that planning for the future has a noteworthy impact on the people who aspire to be
perfect leaders. I plan to be a leader who does things mainly for his followers and the people who
are under him and also for his organisation above anything else. There always need not be day to
day exchanges but my work and my contribution to the lives of the people are to be such that
they remember my contributions to society long after their work is being done. This helps me in
the overall development of work practices. I aspire to be someone who believes in giving some
or losing some from his own side in order to get what is aspires for form others. There might not
always be materialistic benefits but in case efforts of the people are praised it is bound to help
them develop an overall positive attitude towards their leader and also for the organisation in
which they work. Thus it is not always possible to ensure that the outcomes of the organisation
are as per the needs of the leaders. In such cases it needs to be ensured that all the work done is
genuine and the overall collaboration is positive.
I will always try to ensure that the collaboration in my place of work is best and is
responsible for keeping the employees glued to their work. There also needs to be an established
friendship in the place of work and therefore the atmosphere needs to be informal and ideal
situation for working and dealing with the day to day pressures. In case the environment is

friendly it will be possible for me to implement the work procedures according to my choice and
the overall rate of success in the organisation will be more.

There are different styles of leadership which are prevalent in organisations. Popular
leaders of the world also employ different styles of leadership in order to emerge as successful
leaders. On studying the different leadership styles I believe most in the participative style of
leadership. This style of leadership is also known as the democratic style where the opinions of
all the members of a team are asked and taken before taking on a particular decision. The
transformational style of leadership is also very positive and suitable for implementation.
Transformational leadership helps in working together and also in the identification of goals in
the organisation.
Conclusion:
This style of leadership also helps in bringing about social change. This style of
leadership is one of the best styles applicable in majority of scenarios and it is a model of
integrity and fairness. This style of leadership helps in the encouragement of others along with
the provision of support and recognition. This also helps in bonding emotionally with the people
working towards the same goal. Therefore it can be said that the style of leadership which is to
be employed in any situation is essential.
