2WORK INTEGRATED PROJECT
Things I do as a manager
I try to provide moral support to all my team members. As per my perception, as a
manager, I have to take care of the well being of all my employees (Verboncu & Zeininger,
2015). Thus I make sure that I am being able to provide them not only the professional support
but the moral support as well. I feel that it is my duty to take the daily feedback from my
employees regarding their experiences in the workplace. Thus I always make it a point to interact
with all my employees on a weekly basis. I was assigned with a group project last month and I
realized that my boss and employees were not really very happy with me. I could not deal with
this as I knew that I am always very hard working and I try to do the work within the assigned
deadline. I could not accept this negative review coming upon me. Thus I started analyzing what
was going wrong. I realized that I was doing hurry in finishing up the work and I was missing
out many important details due to the stress and the nervousness. Thus I have to understand that
in order to proceed in the long run I will have to manage the stress and make sure that I am not
losing any details on them project. I realized that in order to correct this issue I will have to form
a proper routine so that I can proceed on my activities properly. I planned a time management
plan so that I can do the work without getting nervous. I made sure that I am addressing this
issue. Thus I thought that I will plan a rough routine and outline of the assignments as soon as I
am assigned with it. I will be able to proceed properly by including all the details. I will also ask
my team mates to follow the same. They must realize that they have to develop a flexible attitude
and manage the deadline and the project details at the same time.
As a manager, I try to make myself flexible and approachable for my employees. I
always try to make sure that my employees are being able to reach out to me for all kinds of
advice. I always give time to them whenever they want to meet and discuss any particular issue.

3WORK INTEGRATED PROJECT
As per my thinking, employees are the assets of the organization. Thus I always like to make
them feel valued and appreciated. Reward and recognition are one of the keys to keeping
employees happy.
I make sure that the employees are being amply rewarded and appreciated for the hard
work and the effort that they are putting forward in the organization (Greenberg, 2017). As a
manager I try to give them good advice and boost up their moral strength, I always arrange for
flexible shift timings so that employees get an ample time to relax and can get a sound work-life
balance. Apart from this I always arrange for stress management and conflict management
workshops. This is one of the most important aspects to initiate a sound company culture. Cross-
cultural competence is needed so that all the employees can respect and cooperate with each
other irrespective of their social status. Stress management is needed or all the employees so that
they can have sound health, I believe that as a manager I have to look after the aspects of
workplace safety and the personal well being of my employees as well.
