INTRODUCTION
The millennial generation is basically referred to individuals or people born between the ear
1981 to 1996. For instance, leadership could be determined as the practise of leading a group or
team in a business organisation towards accomplishment of desired goals and objectives. In order
to be precise, individuals engaged in the practise of leadership are aimed at leading the entire
group or team of people in every situation with the aim of minimising uncertainty Anne
maximising chances of success and growth. This report essay will be comprised of insightful and
essential information based upon role of leadership in managing the millennial generation in a
workplace. Furthermore, it will be composed of relevant theories, analysis, and
recommendations regarding the determined subject matter in order to ensure effective
understanding of the same (Rue, 2018).
MAIN BODY
The business organisations operating in existing business environment are composed of
huge workforce engaged in carrying out large scale business operations and activities. In addition
to that, each and every business organisation has few to more employees from the millennial
generation. Moreover, it creates a necessity for management as well as leadership representatives
to look upon the same in order to ensure ideal leadership practises in the workplace. The primary
and major role of leadership representatives lies in encouraging and motivating these employees
from millennial generation which ensures collective efforts towards achievement of common
goals. Though, millennial employees contribute their efforts and values towards respective
business organisation but still lack in some or the other areas with scope of improvisation.
The millennial era of business is comprised of different styles our systems are working which is
preferred by these individuals. For instance, the primary preference of millennial employees lies
in teamwork rather than authoritative management. In order to be precise, these employees are
more willing to speak out, seek purpose and fulfilment of course, traditional working approach,
etc (Rogers, and et. al., 2018). The determined traits of millennial employees’ states that they are
oriented upon traditional working approach which includes frequent team discussions or
meetings before decision-making process. In addition to that, these employees have a higher
sense of formality in workplace as compared to workforce of existing era or generation.

Furthermore, these employees are more tend towards accomplishment of individual goals and
family values as their key aspects in employment opportunities (Risman, 2018).
With the presence of employees from millennial generation, it has been observed that these
employees influence and affects workplace in some of the other way. For instance, these
employees from millennial generation have gone through immense number of experiences and
situations as compared to workforce from existing environment or generation. In addition to that,
employees from millennial generation are generally seen with upright experience as well as
individual skills and abilities as they have been involved employment opportunities from quite a
long time. Moreover, these employees have gone through different situations initiating from the
rise of Internet as well as initial stage of rapid advancement of technology. These meaningful
experiences in scenarios have trained them in such a manner that they can cope up with each and
every situation in business environment. Furthermore, Business organisation in today's working
environment considers recruitment of employees from millennial generation in order to maintain
diversity in workforce engaged in carrying out business operations and activities (What Does

Referring to above mentioned information, it has been determined that employees from
millennial generation lack the quality of initiative as well as individualism in carrying out their
assigned task and activities. for instance, these representatives have a necessity of enhancement
of their individual skills and abilities including adaptability and flexibility. In order to be precise,
these individual skills and abilities facilitate in influencing the determined factor among these
millennial workforces engaged in workplace of a business organisation in existing generation or
era. Referring to modern era off working or business environment, primary and major values
include innovation, initiative, empathy call my adaptability, transformation, etc. The dynamic
changing market has been influencing modern working styles and approaches in carrying out
business operations and activities (Waljee, Chopra, and Saint, 2020).
Analysing the mentioned information, it could be determined that existing scenario of workplace
of a business organisation is inclusive of workforce from millennial as well as modern era. In
order to be precise, it creates a necessity for leadership representatives to look out for effective
strategies which facilitate in ideal workforce management. As these employees are used to of
carrying out assigned task and activities in millennial approach of working, it creates a necessity

goals and objectives. In order to be precise, upright coordination and collaboration of employees

efficiency and productivity in the workplace. Moreover, it will facilitate in ensuring peer to peer
support in workplace in order to perform teamwork in a desired manner. Being engaged in
employment opportunities since long time, business organisations are tended towards recruiting
or selecting these employees from millennial generation in order to ensure effective and efficient
completion of business operations and activities (Dartington, 2018). Furthermore, leadership
representatives could use the participative leadership approach in the workplace which will
facilitate them in ensuring upright coordination and collaboration of employees in the workplace
(Putriastuti, and Stasi, 2019).

From the above information, it can be concluded that individuals or people born between 1981
and 1996 are considered members of the millennial generation. For example, leadership can be
defined as the practice of directing a group or team of people in a commercial organization to
achieve their desired goals and objectives. To be more specific, persons who practice leadership
try to lead a whole group or team of people in every scenario to reduce uncertainty. As per the
given situation, there are a few preventive measures which are suggested such as-
Employee engagement is a concept that describes a worker's level of passion and
commitment to their work. Employees who are engaged are concerned about their work
and the company's performance. That is why it is essential to enhance the level of
employee engagement that can be done by recognizing the work done. It is one of the
significant factors that to feel valued and thereby enhancing their productivity.

Importance must be given to the mental and physical health of the individuals.
Individuals are more likely to engage with their work when their employer makes an
effort to improve their general well-being and overall development. Employee
engagement can be improved by implementing a company-wide wellness initiative. For
example, various workout activities or courses such as workplace outings, and in addition
to these proper sessions, meditation classes can be conducted to encourage employees to
take mental health days when they need to step away from the office and focus on
themselves. Also, keep a supply of healthful snacks in the kitchen to keep personnel
going throughout the day.
Another one is to improve the participative leadership, which can be done by conducting
surveys, to get a true picture of how everyone feels about their job, their leaders, and the
firm. Along with it, the employees must be encouraged to perform better as employees
are given the duty of establishing their professional development and they will feel
empowered. Additionally, the various project encourages the employees to take a closer
look at their performance and provide internal criticism to assist them to improve.
A company can benefit from collaboration in a variety of ways and a leader that properly
employs this method will be able to involve their employees and staff in the operations of the
company. Decision-making becomes a collaborative effort that draws on the talents, ideas, and
knowledge of all members through opinions and contributions. It's just as vital to be aware of a
leadership style's possible flaws as it is to be aware of its positives.
