In this report is has been mentioned that how various motivational theories can be
implemented in the cited entities. So that organisational objectives can be achieved further
situational and behavioural approach and its advantages and disadvantages are also mentioned
therein. In this report various organisational structures has been explained with different kind of
cultures and it also addresses the relationship between organisational structure of Oticon and its
cultures and further it also explains that how does it impact over its performance (Nutbeam,
Harris and Wise, 2010). This report is based on case study of Oticon, Nice Cars and Shijitsu in
which there is a comparison of organisation structure and organisation culture that have impact
on organisation performance. Furthermore, there is an also discussion on motivational theory and
also comparison of different leadership style.

1.1Comparison among organisation structure and organisation culture of two companies
An organization is a group of people who comes together at one place focusing on some
common objective and undertaking the various operations to achieve the desired goals and
objectives which in corporate world is known as vision and mission of the organizations. The
action of organizing something which is common to everyone who is working in the group is
called organization. An organizational Structure is a kind of system which portrays the levels in
the organization. A structure basically defines that there are how much levels in the
organizations and where the power lies. It is basically showcasing the hierarchy of the company
which identifies the job and its functions and where it reports to within an organization. A
organizational structure shows how a company operates and assists its task in order to attain the
goals and objectives for the current and future growth. Organisation structure is typically a
hierarchical line of authority that describe the duties and rights of an employee within the
organisation. There are various type of organisation structure among which the Oticon Company
adopts that are as describe as follows-

entity. Organisational structure defines the designation of an employee and his position in an
enterprise. Further, it also provides the path in which work is divided and delegated to

Organisational Structures
Matrix Organizational Structure: Under this organizational structure there is reporting
levels both at horizontal and vertical level. In this type of organizational structure a
person can serve in the team of production also being the software department person.
Full flexibility is provided in this structure.
Functional Organizational Structure: Here in the functional structure proper hierarchy is
followed which is it starts from CEO or vice president and than followed by manager of
human resources and than accounting, marketing manager, purchasing manager and
engineering manager.
Product Organizational Structure: Here the product is taken as medium to show how
organizational structure is followed and thus the structure followed here is like if a kraft
product would be responsible for every product under that label- Dressings, meats,
sauces, etc. Geographic Organizational Structure: For organizations that cover a span of geographic
regions, it sometimes makes sense to organize by region. here the hierarchy follows as
per the regions that is north region manger will be different and south will be different
and central and east region will be different.
Organisational Culture
Task Culture: In task culture, management of organisation forms team to manage the
typical tasks of cited entity. These teams include such persons who have same kind of
interests and goals. Each team consists of four to five members. In task culture,
employees in a team needs to do work equally. Oticon has opted the task culture so that it
will become easy for employees to work in the business environment which has more
than 1200 employees as they have separate team which has different task to perform.
Thus, their work has been allotted equally in each task.
Role Culture : Role culture is a culture where employees has given a role by their leaders
and managers. These roles are delegated as per the educational qualification, skill, and
specialization of employees. In such culture employees finds the best qualities inside
them and they voluntarily accept the challenges.

and Shijitsu are two different organisation but done same type of business and they adopt
different leadership styles that are mention below-
Autocratic leadership style- The Nice Cars adopt a autocratic leadership style in which
they make decisions by their own and they does not like to involve staff member to participate in
a decision-making process. It is very effective for the firm at that time when company require to
make decision in uncertainties and other situation. Along with that, They don't ask for any help
of clue in making any decision with any members within the organisation. The main advantages
for the company is that it saves time, because they can take quick decision as per their own way
