INTRODUCTION
Organization theory is defined as the study of organizational structure, relationships and
structures where it determines on such dimensions as a level of organization formalization,
specialization, standardization, or strategy (Rödder, 2020). Further, organisation theory creates
the effect of social relations between the individual within the organization. In this, people of the
organization interact with each other to better perform the activities intended towards
accomplishing goals (Estes, Brotto and Busacca., 2018). Along with, individuals come along to
perform tasks by contributing their skills and knowledge to accomplish common goals. In this
report, the organization is considered Asda Stores, a British Supermarket chain situated in Leeds,
England. The company was founded in 1949 when is Asquith family merged their retail business
within the associated dairies company of Yorkshire. For this report, the topics are highlights on
managerial style which is use by CEO, certain steps consider to change the organisation culture.
Different leadership style is examine based on CEO of firm perspective, effect of power
influence within organisation. Various types of motivation strategies.
MAIN BODY
Examine the management styles of the CEO using suitable managerial model.
Management: Management is defined as the administration of an organization that helps to
manage the activities support to monitor and measure with overall activities. It supports
monitoring and measuring with overall activities that happen through planning, directing,
organising, controlling, and staffing. In perspective of Asda Stores, their manager used to
manage organisation work by systematically assorting all these management functions. Thus, to
follow this management function manager of Asda Stores handle its employees work and
motivate towards their goals.
Management Styles: This style which assort by manager and pursue different sort of
activities for accomplishing objectives (Poutanen, 2021). In this, it encompasses the process
where manager have made the decision making. There are certain management styles on which
one style can be suitable for CEO of Asda Stores:
Autocratic Style: In this style, they have authorization to choose and implement
decisions that keep information and discuss only with top level of management member.

In other words, this type of style utilised by manager to provide a proper road map for
the company and employees to follow and attain objectives as per accordingly.
Democratic management style: As per this management style, managers use to gather
feedback from overall employees to provide information for making better decisions
(Balabanova, Rebrov and Koveshnikov, 2018). In this, manager is very cooperative and
they do not decide decisions with superior person. In fact, they involve employees where
they can share opinions to address the issues effective manner.
Coaching Management Style: This particular management style emphasizes the
professional and personalise growth of individual employees within the workplace. The
manager use to motivate or encourage the employees to provide proper guidance them
properly. It is a great management style because it assists in providing guidance by
managers and employees can resolve their issues and relation gaps.
Evaluation:
From the above management style, CEO of Asda stores would use the Democratic
Management Style where employees can freely show their participation in decision-making and
provide positive working environment to enhance more work satisfaction. The CEO of the
selected company can make a healthy relationship with employees to follow this management
style. There are some other benefits of the Democratic Management style where Asda Stores can
utilize such as:
It allows more efficient problem-solving.
It helps to build a high level of team relationships.
Increase the job satisfaction level along with resolve the conflicts between employees.

their management team follows a Functional structure as each department function breaks in
order to distribute individual roles and responsibilities to handle their task by their own process.

better business model. In perspective, the CEO of Asda stores considers that individuals
face challenges or problems that employees are not properly engaged in the workplace
that negatively impact business productivity. For this, manager or CEO of Asda stores
must follow and implement new managerial practises that bring more productiveness in
workplace. Some of practises are Training and development, Employee Engagement,
Performance Appraisal etc. Through these practices, employees can improve their
performamce and reduce their work stress that brings more positive outcomes. Some key

employees. By using Lewtin's model of change management which is undertaen by CEO
of Asds Stores are:
Unfrezzing: In the first stage of business, transciation is one of the most critical stages in
the entire process. Further, in this stage helps to create awareness about how change can be
important for the workplace. The existing employees' behaviour and thinking process
where people and organisation structure examined the employees essential in the
organisation. Asda Stores’s CEO wants to change a positive workplace environment for
employees, such as managerial activities during working hours. This is necessary to bring
change for long term employee productivity.
Changing: This is second step, it presumes to transition on moving for better
implementation change. During the phase of changing in organization, employees are
engaged to learn new behaviour and better learning process of thinking. In perspective of
Asda Store’s CEO, in changing stage it can be challenging or hardest for its employees
because they are not familiar with accepting the change for future better ment.
Refreezing: It is the final stage of Lewin’s model. This stage has a procedure to make
changes towards better organization structure goals or offering to accept the change
(Siawsh and Vo-Tran., 2021). From the perspective of Asda Stores CEO, the
implementation change in workplace premises help to engage employees through
employee engagement activities. In this CEO need to make convince employees by sharing
the benefits of managerial activities effectively.
