INTRODUCTION
To manage the people is the requirement of organisation and it is the responsibility of
management to manage the team and the persons who work in the firm so that objectives and
goals can be accomplish. To better this concept CST has been chosen which is a multinational
communication & system developer. In this report there are following topics are covered such as:
motivation which consist on the behaviour, content theory & process theory and leadership
powers.
MAIN BODY
1 Motivation which consists on the behaviour of each employee
Motivation is the technique which is used by the management to encourage the
employees so that they can perform better as per the requirement of company. It consist the
behaviour of employees who work in the corporation. As the behaviours of staffs in workplace
are directly associated with the business activities, operations and growth. As professional
behaviour is helpful to maximize the productivity as well as efficiency. As employees of CST
company have to do more mental work because it is communication & system developer
organisation and those persons can work in this corporation which are skilled, focused and those
who have patience to handle the complex situations which arise at workplace. So behaviour of
employees are required to be positive and to motivate the workers organisation can make an
action plan and incentives and rewards can be given. It is the responsibility of management to
provide healthy working conditions so that workers can work effectively and achieve the goals of
company (Markaki and Chadjipantelis, 2012).
2. How to motivate workers by using content and process theory
Content theory involves:
Maslow's theory- This module studies the psychological needs of individual and their
key role in the motivation. The different stages of this theory are as follows:

Psychological needs- These are concerned with the biological needs of humans like
food, shelter, sleep, breathe etc.
Safety needs- Human's wants security from issues that can affect their physical as well as
mental health (Levasseur, 2012).
Self belonging- As humans live in society they feel strong desire to have relationships
and friendship in order to fulfil the need of belongingness.
Self esteem- These needs are associated with satisfying one's ego and self esteem needs,
an individual wants to attain respect in the form of recognition.
Self actualisation needs- These are concerned with person determining their true
potential and putting complete focus in order to accomplish those goals.
CST a multinational company is facing failures due to issues in the management of
workforce this needs to be applied by the company to understand the needs and expectations of
employees for motivating them.
