INTRODUCTION
This present report contains all the information of organisation and behaviour of the city
college and enterprise rent-a-car. Present report contain the relevant information like, what are
the different organisational structures and culture and how the relationship between an
organisation's structure and culture can impact on the performance of the organisation. What are
the different factors which influence individual behaviour at the workplace (Ashby, 2013). This
present report also contain the effectiveness of different leadership styles in the different
organisation and how organisation theory underpins the practice of the management. It also
evaluate the different approaches to management used by organisation and impact that different
leadership styles may have on motivation in organisations and different motivational theories
within the workplace. It also contain the relevant information like, what are the usefulness of
motivation theory for the manager and nature of groups and group behaviour within the
organisations. It also the discuss the factors that may promote the development of effective
teamwork in organisation and impact of technology on team functioning within the city collage
and enterprise rent-a-car organisations.

1.1 Compare different organisational structures and culture
The culture and structure of the organisation can influence the performance with in the
organisation. The structure is based on the infrastructure of the city college and enterprise rent-a-
car organisation. The structure of the organisation helps the culture of bot organisation. The
organisational structure can includes, a corporation and spot team and other set up which can
develop the effective organisational culture. The structure of the organisation is the element of its
culture and it identify the certain segment of the culture. Structure of the organisation can set up
the culture of the organisation for developing the management work and also make sure about
the responsibilities of the superordinate (Solomon, Russell-Bennett, and Previte, 2012).
The organisational structure includes the responsibilities for the activities of the
organisation and the culture of the organisation includes, values, norms and behaviour which is
used by the member of the organisation for the effective work. The different people of the
organisation will use the specific culture of the organisation and will try to work effective. Every
organisations have different responsibilities, relationship and rights in the market place. The

Types of organisation structure:
Functional structure: Under this type of organisation culture all the activities of
enterprise are divided according to different function. For example: sales, marketing and
advertising department. This type of organisation structure is well for small business
firms.
Divisional Structure: This type of organisation structure is used in large enterprises who
have smaller enterprises in a wide geographical area.
Matrix: This type of organisation structure is a combination of functional and divisional
structure. This type of organisation structure used in multinational companies. This is one
of the complex structure but provide various advantages to the enterprise.
Different type of organisation culture
Power culture: This culture of organisation says that more powerful a person will more
important decision he can take.
Role culture: Role culture of enterprise believes that every person in the enterprise play a
different role to achieve the organisation objectives.
Task culture: Task culture is a job related culture and this says that every person person
fulfil different kind of task.

performance of business
The relationship of culture and structure of the business can influence the performance of
the business. If the culture of the business is effective in that case, the business can get their
target and if the structure of the business is not effective and appropriate in that case the business
cannot get their target and cannot survive in the market place. Sometimes the structure is the
strength of the business and it make the business profitable. The organisational structure and

organisation. als behaviour at the organisational workplace. This factors includes, culture,
society, peer, family, relatives and organisational factors can influence the arrangement
of the attitude. The positive attitude of the manager can create a positive environment for
the development of the business.
Personality: The personality defines the behaviour of the individuals. If the personality of
the individuals is effective in that case, the manager can adjust with the employees and in
any situation. So, the effective personality of manager is important at the workplace
(Barnard, 2012).
Demographic factors: The demographic factors includes, gender, age, education,
background and nationality. Every organisation want to recruit that persons who belongs

participative style of leadership. This style of leadership will encourage the ideas,
feedback and thought of the employees and provide the effective direction to all the
department.
Autocratic leadership style: this style encourage the power of the top management for
dealing with their work and employees. In this style, the manager will take own decision
for the development of the organisation there are no possibility for employees
suggestions.
Charismatic leadership style: This style of leadership is based on the personality of the
manager and it also implement the acceptation among their staff employees. The
charismatic leadership style is important for creating the energetic environment within
the organisation (Downs and Stea, 2011).
Relations-oriented leadership style: In this leadership style, it make the effective relation
between the all department of the organisation and this leadership style aim to work for
the welfare of the society and provide the profits to the people of the organisation.

The leadership is the path in which it provide the right direction, effective planning and
helpful for motivation to the employees of the organisation and increase their performance for
achieving the better output. He leadership comes after the management of the business and the
management implement some rules and regulation within the organisation. There are some
quality or power of leaders which is important for motivating the people of the organisation.
They are as follows:
Political power: The leader need to work with the people and society for achieving the
political power. Every leaders need to achieve the political power for motivating to the
employees of the organisation.
Personal power: The personal power is comes through some individual. If the leader has
personal power in that case the leader can build own personality and can motivate their
