There are many factors that lead to the organizational success. However the success of an
organization is largely dependent on the qualities of the leader. A leader must be having a
collaborative approach that will be helping him to provide support to his followers at every step
and help the followers move forward. I have selected Narendra Modi as my idea leader. He is the
Prime Minister of India and has a very unique style of managing his works.
Key factors that make the chosen leader successful
Speaking and communication skills
A leader must be having a very good skill of communication. It is through
communication that he will be able to address people and also make sure that he is of an
approachable nature, Narendra Model is the prime minister of India and has to take care of all the
different doubts and queries that are being raised by the people of his country. He is able to
speak in a very easy, understandable, comprehensive and yet in a very crispy manner (Kulkarni
Sadanand et al. 2015). He is able to make his messages clear among the people. It is evident that
Modi is fluent and bold in addressing such large masses of people. Being a good orator is one of
the good qualities that must be present in a leader (Chitrao 2015). This helps him to develop a
horizontal communication system and understand the issues that he needs to hear from people.
Discipline
Nrendra Modi is known for his disciplined nature. He makes sure that all the works are
being done in a proper manner. It is for this reason that he has been able to imbibe the similar
culture among his cabinet ministers as well (Agrawal 2015). Narendra Modi has proved that in
order to take his country to the heights of success all the ministers have to work hard and make

sure that they are being able to solve all the different issues that are raised by the people of the
county.
Accountability
Narendra Modi’s accountability makes him one of the most distinguished leaders of all
times. Even at the age of 64, he is highly responsible and makes sure that he is being able to
show a great deal of enthusiasm. He has been able to take up all the responsibilities in a very
effective manner and has also carried them on in a proper way.
Ways to check the effectiveness
External Audit
Hiring the external officials like auditors, revenue experts and other officials are
appointed for understanding the performance of the leaders. Narendra Modi has been able to get
very good responses from the foreign companies and the foreign ministers which shows that his
strategies and objectives have got really good results.
Evaluation Feedback
This is one of the most useful ways that can be used for the purpose of understanding the
success of leadership goals and strategies. Narendra Modi has been able to develop many new
strategies and goals for his country. He has been able to get a good feedback not only from the
citizens of his own country but also from the other foreign companies as well (Downing et al.
2016). One of the good examples is the Make In India movement. This has been a very
successful movement as it helped Modi to develop new ideas for the overall uplifting of his
country in terms of science, technology, employment and other such opportunities. He has been

his own performance and also get the valuable feedbacks from all his ministers.

One of the best ways to understand the effectives of leadership success is to see the
business results or the betterment f the followers. In this case it has been seen that all the cabinet
ministers and the people of the entire nation have been appreciating Narendra Modi for all the
new strategies and the goals that he has been setting up for the overall welfare of the country.
Movements like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign) have been able to bring
great results and also make sure that the common public of the nation are able to understand their
basic responsibilities and start cleaning up their surrounds based on their civic sense
(Jangra,Majra and Singh 2016). Modi nominated notable personalities from film industry, sports,
media, business and other celebrities to promote the initiative.
Developing the sense of responsibility and accountability among people
Narendra Modi has been able to teach his ministers and all the citizens of his nation about
their own rights and responsibilities. Movements like the clean India campaign or the Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan have been able to teach people about the very simple steps that they must

3. How has their performance as a leader contributed to organizational success
Jan Dhan Yojana
The leadership skills of Narendra Modi have been able to promote the overall welfare of
the people of India. Accountability or a strong sense of responsibility has helped him to
strengthen the financial condition of the citizens. Narendra Modi has been able to render to the
organizational success by boosting up the position of the citizens. He has been able to boost up
the baking and the financial sectors of the nation by opening about 15 core bank accounts to
make sure that people are developing a good banking habit. As a true leader he has been able to
boost up the economic position of all his followers or the people of his nation to make sure that
they are being able to enjoy a good and acceptable standard of living.
Economic Reforms and Policy Implementation
Modi has exhibited a brilliant leadership skill of being empathetic towards his citizens.
Modi-led NDA government’s primary focus has always been on the restricting of the economy
of India so that they can generate a good income opportunity for all the citizens. They have been
able to increase the FDI limits but have also done good works over the Insurance and the defense
systems.

As part of the organizational success, Modi has developed the tourism sectors of his
country so that there is a proper flow of income and employment options. Introduction of visa-
on-arrival service for all leading nations was a key step in this direction. The leadership skill of
effective communication has been helpful as Modi has been able to speak as a representative of
his people. He has been able to develop many new tourist spots for the uplifting of the people of
his country.
