whole organisation or a particular team or group in corporation. Usually, a set of people
or employee have to report to the manager for giving the complete details of the situation
and upcoming anticipation about the business.
1. Leaders create a vision and manager create a goal: The focus of a leader is on vision
or aim of what has to be achieved (Boella and Goss-Turner, 2013). A leader plans the
whole method which can be used for batter and efficient work out that can help the
company in proper planning. The focus of a manger is on goals, it does not matter what
strategies are being used, they only focus on their targets and achieve goals. Leader
possesses extra capability that they can think out of box and managers emphasise on how
they can achieve goals.
2. Leader build leadership and manager build system and process: A leader focuses on
all the employees in the business that is supposed to be influenced in order to realise
their vision (Arvanitoyannis, 2010). They spend most of their times with their employees
and stakeholders. They build loyalty and faith by frequently delivering their promise to
them. Kellogg’s foods limited company’s managers focus on the analytical approach and

ensure system is working well in terms of execute goals and impersonal of the business.
They don't interact more with their employee in the firm. Kellogg’s foods limited
company's leader are required to make good relationship and interactions with their
employee in order to motivate them and ensure them about the anticipation of future
outcomes on behalf of its decision. Managers in this company build a system and
process and ensure that it is supposed to be followed by their employee in any how
situation.ď‚· Situational leadership: Situational leadership is a leadership style that is referred when a
leader and manager of a company must set to fit in a particular situation of the company
that will be helpful to create a favourable involvement to the development level of their
employees and he/she is trying to influence them (Davis, Pantelidis and Alcott, 2013).

Conflict situation: There come various times in a company when there occurred some conflict
situation in work place (Gebbers and Adamchuk, 2010). In these type of situation, a leader thinks
ways that how the situation can be solved out without making any future problem with any of the
employee. That means a leader thinks that how a situation can be resolved in a way that the
interaction between the employees can be maintained and the issue can be resolved as well but a
manager thinks that whatever the result may be, the amazon.com inc'.should have achieved their
predetermined targets and goals as well. It does not matter for a manager to keep and manage the
relation with other employees, a manager thinks about only the outcomes of the business.
ď‚· Employee turnover: A company may face employee turnover and it is very common for
many businesses (Gibson, 2012). It could be happened because of many reasons like less
motivation in the company, less incentive, salary and allowances etc. In this case, a leader
can focus on the ways such as providing some sort of incentives or increment of the
employee in the amazon.com inc'. Company so that they can be motivated from it and
focus more on work which will prove beneficial for the company. In this type of case, a
manager thinks about to some organisational activities are enough for the manager and it
does not matter for manager, if their staff will go in that situation(Wu, and Pagell, 2011).
Some sort of incentive and increment in the salary can motivate the employee and more
focus on the vision and objectives of the firm. A manager thinks about to they will hire
new employee and new employees will help to manager dimension of the company.
Usually, a manager does not think about including any way of providing motivation,
rather they think of changing activities that can help the company.
P.3.ď‚· System approach: System approach is dependent on the assumption that everything is
internally linked on an organisation (Grunert and Traill, 2012). A company system
approach has a boundary that determines that which part is internal and which part is
external in the firm. The leader control working of the employee and convey the situation
of the firm and motivate the employee to effort more hard in the business inf order to
accomplish needs of the business corporation such as amazon.com inc'. Company need to

reported to the occurrence in the circumstances. (Heizer, 2016). A leader plays an

reason behind the cost increment of the company and apply the theory to utilise some
alteration in operational and management exercises to decrease the high price of the
product and services and also reducing the transportation cost of the firm. They changed
the policy of the firm in selling and operations department in amazon.com inc' business.ď‚· Classical management theory: Classical management theory is applied in amazon.com
inc'. Company, where the managers make the policies to increase the productivity.
According to this theory each management group has its own responsibilities and
objectives (Hill and Hill, 2012). The top management usually, Board of Director and
Chief Executive, they will always be responsible for goals and objective accomplishment
in amazon.com inc' company. The company classify their responsibilities between top
management and its subordinate executives and they are obliged to do their job in proper
manner.ď‚· Strength of these theories: Classical theories are properly based on the specific
principles of this approach(Hubbard, 2012). It helps to increase high productivity and
many rules and regulation that will in better understand the management of the firm.
Contingency management theory has its best strength is its flexibility, it adopts
management style according to their situation. Another theory, quantity theory provides
the value of data analytical approach that will helps to leader and managers to develop
their decision quality according to their selective approach.
ď‚· Weakness of these approach: The classical theory is old approach and it conducts some
weakness which is job satisfaction is ignored by the employee and there is a scope of
conflict between employees and managers (Kuo and Chen, 2010). This will not help an
amazon.com inc'. Company's management function to operate in appropriate manner. It is
difficult to predict about human being behaviour and slower decision-making process
