Question one
Guiding the organization through change.
Change is inevitable at certain points of running an organization that is Fisher and Paykel
manufacturing firm. As the chief executive officer of the FIsher and Paykel firm, am therefore
obliged to give a sense of direction with reference to the changing circumstances aimed at
utilizing the benefits associated with the short term operations of the organization thus following
the change in operations of the Fisher and Paykel firm.
By communicating the mission to the shareholders, employees and other stakeholders of
the organization, I will provide a trajectory on the operations of the organization. Through the
mission, every individual associated with the organization is made aware of where the
organization is heading to and how the responsibilities allocated to them and their work
contributes on a daily basis in a step achievement of the organization’s goals.
Through creating a sense of involvement among every stakeholder of the organization, I
will instill a sense of responsibility and ownership which will be a driving force enhancing
commitment within the organization. Capacity building through the declaration of work areas to
individuals will make the organization autonomous of its operations due to the might of
employees.
Adaptability being an institutional requirement to change is necessary. For the success of
the organization, I effectively responding to the environmental changes (market place) will make
the organization restructure in a manner that will be sufficient enough to avoid restructuring
frictions.

By advocating for consistency within the organization, I will provide a central sense of
integration, coordination and control which is integral in providing a system of governance and
internal control with the recommended set standards required at the market place.
Question 2
Accelerating change among the senior management.
In most organizations, the top-bottom approach to running an organization is conceived
to have the driving force to foster its growth especially in times the organization is incorporating
change. To the shareholders, they are obliged to provide the necessities required by the senior
management who are in charge of guiding the organization to greater heights. The requirements
are divided into three categories; creating a climate for change; engaging and enabling the whole
organization and implementing and sustain change
Through creating a climate for change, development of a vision and strategy on which the
organization is intended to follow to ensure that we as the senior management does not drift
away from the intended trajectory. As the organization, we will only count our success if its end
point is clear.
By creating a coalition and urgency of situation among the members of the management,
I will ensure sharing of ideas in order to provide an opportunity to come up with the ultimate
resolution which would be efficient enough drive
The second category of engaging and enabling the whole organization involves
communicating the vision from the top which is the ownership through the management to the
employees. The act of communication is essential for any movement hence empowering action

and getting quick wins to create objectivity since the allocation of authority will give us a sense
of responsibility and the moment people can work based on their allocated roles, the organization
ought to benefit in the short run.
