Introduction
Christ based Leadership is based on the principles given by Jesus Christ. The primary focus of
the Christ Based Leadership is to help people selflessly. The current essay focuses on the Christ
based leadership and is implications in an organisation. The essay will highlight the different
ways by which the Christ centred; leadership can be integrated into the practice of the leadership.
Some of the aspects such as the situational aspect of the Christ view leadership will also be
recognised in this essay. The Thesis statement of the current essay is to know the methods by
which the Christ centred leadership that can be integrated with the general practice of the;
leadership.
Christ centred leadership
The quality of the leaders in a society determines the health of the leadership strategy. This has
increased the influence of Christ based leadership style in the society. According to the
viewpoint of Chappell (2018), Christ Centred leadership includes the servant leadership which is
not a modern concept, however, it can be found in the biblical account based on the Jesus Christ,
and the model of servant leadership developed by the River Greenlanders can help in identifying
the Christ-like servant. As viewed by Love (2015), Jesus being leaders was not self promoting in
nature. In addition to this, Jesus was an obedient to a holy spirit. Servant leadership is being
followed by Jesus Christ. Jesus is always concerned about the welfare of his followers. Thus, in
organisation, leader following Christ Centred Leadership always thinks to improve their team so
that motives of an organisation can be effectively met. Jesus also has a capability to cast a vision
with simplicity and directness. Thus, Christ centred leader must have clears vision for their
followers.
Ways Christ centred leadership can be integrated into the practice of leadership
It has been observed that Christian leadership is becoming popular in the organisations and in
daily life. Numbers of studies have an influence on the faith-based experiences on the moral
development. As stated by Grimes and Bennett (2017), there are some items that connect
leadership with the emergence of the theory of education. In addition, one of the foundation's
processes that are identified in theory is known as the Basic skills process item. Distinctive of the
biblical leadership involves the character, calling, competence, community and Christ (Lausanne

Movement, 2018). These distinctive are linked with the theories and models that are used in done
in the organisation.
Leaders can maintain a peaceful community by following the biblical leadership of their
organisation. Christ centred leadership is followed in the schools by implementing the art and
design symposium and the art collaborative. Jesus has built a team, and always gave a mission to
their tea. Jesus believed that a great work can be produced with a small team. Thus, in case the
business will follow the Christ centred leadership, thus, small teams need be prepared by the
leaders. Christ centred leadership can also be integrated with the theories within the business
environment. As suggested by Liang (2018), most of the Christian professionals in the field of
business are being employed with the Babylonian organisational culture. However, the cultures
of corporate society in which they perform jobs are usually discouraged with any of the public
expressions based on the Christian faith. As stated by Donovan and Turner (2016), it is illegal to
hire only the Christians in the workplace.
Most of the time successful businesses are adhered to the principles with clear biblical origins.
The qualities of the leaders in such type of business can be Christ centred. However, it has been
observed in many cases that such type of leadership also harms the business. This is due to the
reason that in case of business everyone is working for their needs. Thus this type of selflessness
leadership is not applicable to the business organisation. As suggested by Bucci and Lewis
(2016), Christ centred business prosper more than business that is led by the nation Christian.
There is lots of practical wisdom on Bible that proves effective in the marketplace at the
beginning of economics. Both Christians and non-Christians business people use principles
experiences with the benefits. Thus, in business, it can be helpful to take principles from, the

Three aspects of Christ view leadership
Transformational leadership from a Christian perspective is commonly observed,
transformational leadership is used to transform a community where leaders can connect and
interact with the followers and increase their morality and motivation. In the Christian world, the
transformational leader can be a worship pastor that motivates the team to improve with their
skills. Based on the Christian perspective, transformational leaders encourage the person to
become better for the team’s sake (Claybury international, 2018). For instance, Abraham is the

best transformational leader in the bible and known for creating courage and confidence.
Abraham has strong sense of justice which led him to be ethical leader too.
The Christ centred leadership style is well understood by the traits, behaviours and the situational
leadership. As stated by Gabriel et al. (2016), religion and worship have great influence on
reducing the unethical responses to the situation. In support Longman and Anderson (2016)
commented that religious components help in enriching the leadership activities that includes the
credibility and ethics. However, there are beliefs that religious and spiritual leadership is not
sufficient. Bucci and Lewis, (2016) suggested that the reality of the business world is not is not
much conducive. It has been observed that business is making moves to minimise the values
which are faith-based in the workplace. Donovan and Turner (2016) argue that religious beliefs
are significant for the mankind that is not in opposition to the capitalist ideals.
Democratic leadership approach is also being viewed with the Christ centred leadership
approach. Involvement of the followers is significant which is done in both the Christ centred
leadership approaches and the democratic leadership approaches. It can be assumed that the
people who are followers of Jesus Christ are good in listening. This is one of the significant
characteristics of being a good leader. The leaders who follow the democratic leadership style try
to listen to their followers with great patience. This helps the leader to gather new information
for making the team as well as organisation to better.
Personal reflection
Based on the study, I came to know that Christ centred leadership is the leadership in which God.
Christ centred leadership approach is best suited in the situational leadership approach. In case I
am involved with any of the organisation or teamwork, being a leader I will be using the Christ
centred leadership principles to improve my teamwork. However, I will keep in my mind that I
will not discriminate among my team members based on the Christ centred principles. I would
transform the community by nurturing the quality of empathy among my team. I will also display
a genuine concern for my team and exercises a clear decision-making process.
Conclusion
Based on the discussion above it can be concluded that the Christ centred leadership evidence
both advantages and disadvantages in the leadership style in the daily world. Using the Christ
centred leadership approach religion can be cultured with the organisations. Courage would be

modelled in each of the actions of a leader who will be using the Christ centred leadership. The
bible has focused on many of the leaders who are followers of Jesus Christ and has led their team
in an effective manner. Thus, Christ centred leadership approach can be used in a wise manner so
that only advantages of this leadership approach can be evidenced in the work.
