INTRODUCTION
Leadership is the term that is used for inspiring, guiding, motivating employees for doing
work in the organization (Modestino, Shoag and Ballance, 2016). It require specific skills that
will be needed for performing various task in business.
MAIN BODY
1. Skill that is needed for reflecting this study
Leadership skill is needed for this study that help in enhancing business for the future
course of action. It help in building different processes and taking initiatives of doing work
effectively. As there are different concepts and methods that have to be implemented by leader
for the purpose of enhancing business operations.
2. Experience of exercising leadership skill during internship
By using leadership skill I am able to enhance my decision making skill as well that help
me in the future. As this skill help in retaining employees for longer term in the organization.
This also help in increasing employee engagement as team building activities organized by me
that help in knowing other employees of business (Abbasi, Ali and Bibi, 2018). For example:
During internship different activities is being organized in the company so at the time group
activity as I am getting chance to become a leader of a team. In that I am able to manage all
team members effectively and guiding them properly in each and every step during activity. This
help our team in building good relation with each other and enhance growth in the future. I had
properly enhance leadership skill during that time period. At the time of performing activity
some conflict occur between employees so by taking patience I have solved issues between them
by making them understand that it is necessary doing work according to team that help in
increasing motivation of team members. Therefore, I have managed work properly at the time of
internship.
3. Elements of leadership skill that help in setting standards of performance
There are different elements as one of them is ability to delegate task this is most
important task that have to be performed by leader of the company. This help in fulfilling
requirements of employees and set standard that help in achieving performance in the future.
Creativity also help in bringing some new ideas and innovation that help in gaining future
growth and increasing performance of employees. By implementing new ideas and innovation
that lead to create changes and enhance operations of the company. On the other hand, trust is

another element that leader have to maintain for its subordinates in business . If subordinates is
having trust on employees then they do not feel hesitate to ask any question from them (Jackson,
2015). Communication is an important element that every leader must have for making effective
decision in business. If there is proper communication between team that help in enhancing
performance of employees and increase productivity as well as profitability.

5. Reflection on performance
From the above checklist it can be analysed that my problem solving skill is good as I am
able to tackle problems that will arise during my internship. My decision making skill is also
good that help in taking decision for the future course of action. As I am good communicator that
help in enhancing business operations and evaluating different perspective that help in resolving
various perspective by doing effective communication with other employees in business. I am
not able accountable things as per requirement in the organization. As it is important in
evaluating changes that will be made for the future (Hahn and Leslie, 2018). I am not creative as
not able to bring something new ideas and innovation that help in bringing more opportunities in
business. I am able to interact with each and every employee that help me in building relation
with others for the future course of action this lead to provide confidence in me and enhance

changes for the future. It is important in improving performance during internship that help in
developing more skills and gaining knowledge. I am not adaptable as I cant resist change easily I
need some time to evaluate different perspective of change management. On the other hand I am
optimistic and evaluate changes during internship. Lastly, I am not able to delegate things in
between internship so this is my weakness and I have to improve my weaknesses by taking
measures that will be implemented in future course of action.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that leadership skill plays an important role for
running business operation. Leader must be motivate, inspire and guided so that help in fulfilling
objectives of the company.
