Introduction
In this project I will be developing the appropriate career objectives for making my future
more secure. For developing the personal development plan my first step in this study is to
conduct the self-analysis based on the feedback from the trainers, colleagues and others. The
feedback plays one of the vital role for ensuring my current place. This study will involve my
current place and the measures of my performances against the competency standards for
evaluating the development requirements, priorities and plans. This study will mainly focus on
developing the performance development along with the career objectives and the action plan.
Evidence of obtaining feedback from others
This is evident from various studies that feedback plays the greatest role for self-
evaluations and it will be impossible to grow and learn without the feedback. The feedback
helped to grow one’s evaluating strategy as sometimes this becomes very hard and this also
become incomprehensible for some time. Feedbacks are one of the essential factors for the
personal and professional development. Like for example if I am looking for a job like Barista
and I was told that I lack the experiences for such position, was not ready enough for such post.
Such feedback motivated me to take the challenge of making coffee and I use to make coffee
every day for improving my skills. I also learnt better techniques for filling the job posts.
Therefore this is evident that obtaining feedback would help one to make changes for gaining the
desired goals.
Measures of personal performance against the competency standards
The measuring of my performance includes measuring of the personal knowledge, skills
and the attitude against the competency standards for determining the developmental
requirements. This also involves the setting of priorities those are necessary for achieving the

competencies and the goal achievement. It is beneficial to measure the personal performance
against the competency standards that is I wanted to become the efficient leader in the
organization as this will help me to show some creative skills. In my job career I found out that
the team leaders of the organization have some great skills like the communication skills,
motivating skills, managing skills and others. Thus this impose to maintain a healthy
competitions with them for acquiring the effective skills of leader (Bolden 2016). This analysis
would help me to identify the gaps that are required to be identified for meeting the competency
standards. By this I will able to plan when and how I will identify the gap’s requirements.
Personal development plan
Background
I belonged from Brazil and I have completed my graduation in Law in 2012 and started to
working for two years then after I became the judge associate in the court for 3 years. At that
time I was really dedicated towards the laws and my professional experiences. But from the last
few years I was able to self-discover that I was lacking interest in my job role, my job role did
not allow me to explore any of the creative skills of mine. Thus I was not at all happy with the
present profession. Therefore I chose to shift my profession to those sector where I will be able
to exploer my creative skills and could apply my plenty of ideas. This motivated me to start from
the beginning that is shifting to Australia and enrolled myself into the coaching classes that could
add more knowledge to my professional baggage. Then I decided to study the leadership and
management and enrolled myself in the coaching studies that would allow me to work with
something that I am interested with.

Long term and short term professional aims
The long term goals that I need to acquire for becoming the effective leader that is I
needs to grow the trust bonding among the team members. In other words I am require to my
good human side for developing the long lasting relationship and the trustworthy relations by
showing the human side. I needs to become the team player that is most time the team members
have the tendency to copy whatever they see in their leader thus I require to complete my task on
time so that they will be doing the same thing. I also need to grow the capability within myself
though it will take time but I will be able to inspire the commitment and the motivations among
the team member. The most important skills that I requires to grow the self-awareness and the
self-management skills (Bolman and Deal 2017). The leaders are required to be the strength and
weakness of the abilities for managing the entire team.
The short term goals which I will be able to gain for following the appropriate leadership
skills. In the short span of time I will be able to set the model in the personal life, I will be able to
encourage the team members for setting their professional goals and providing trainings if
required (Bolman and Deal 2017). I can communicate with my team members regarding the
leadership goals and the objectives and this is essential for maintaining the team member’s
consistent and on regular basis.
Opportunities
There are various opportunities that the leadership job role are able to provide. The major
opportunities that could be gained from the leadership role are that this job role allowed me to
practice with patience. I will be able to become more cautious and could make prudent approach
towards the decision making process. The leadership job role will also allow me to recruit the
candidates comprised of smart talent and this will help me to improve the workplace

environment by becoming more effective leader (McCaffery 2018). In this job role I will be able
to try something new and different and this is the major reason for choosing this job role as I will
able to utilize my creative mind in this job role. I can also go against my conventions and my
intuition in this job role and sometimes the intuition may fail but by accepting this fact this job
role allows me to operate with my open mind though it may consist of the bold risks. By being
the leader I can schedule my time for rest, relaxations and sleep for avoiding burnout. This job
role also allows me to pay forward involving my knowledge, expertise and sharing my own
resources. I can also play the role of instructors wherever I will feel that my team members.
Financial and personal goals
The financial goals of the leadership role is to increase the production level of the
employees that will promote the long term goals of the organization. The leaders are required to
increase the investment sectors by retaining the values of the stakeholders and shareholders. The
leaders are required to increase the revenues of the organization for making more profits in
achieving the long term goals (Huber 2017). By being the leader one must mainly focus on the
productivity of the organizations and the strategies for making more profits at low investments.
This leadership actions will bring the long term profits for the organization.
The personal goals of the leadership job role is that I should focus on the requirements of
my team members so that they can increase the team’s productivity. I should also maintain the
employee retention as there will be no point if the employees are not attracted towards their job
role as this will reflect the unstable working conditions in the organization. The leaders are
required to provide training to the employees and needs to motivate them towards their job.

Desired work-life balance
The first step towards the desired work-life balance are setting up the priorities that is I
chose what I want as my priorities rather than choosing what everybody think me to set as my
priorities. Then for getting the desired work-life balance I can track my time that is by
scheduling how much time I will spend doing those things that don’t matter to me or those that
are not aligned with my priorities. I should concentrate only on one thing rather than on focusing
more than one thing at the same time. In other words I should make up my mind that I will
concentrate only on my task while working and while spending time with my family I would
focus on that. I could respect my private time as becoming the leader I can reschedule the task
thus respecting my private time. For maintaining the work life balance it is essential to take at
least two weeks off from the work every year that does not require to spend lots of money but
just to recharge myself I should take vacations. The leadership job mostly requires to set up the
boundaries between the work and the personal life although today’s technology makes a line
between the personal life and work life, which should be controlled for maintaining the work life
balance.
Health
This is recommended for everybody to have a look on the personal habits and the general
lifestyle for gaining the healthy lifestyle. I should look after my personal lifestyle and should
focus on the proper amount of sleep as the poor nutrition and the bad exercise habits could cause
to feel lack of balance in my daily life. I require to involve enough amount of exercises as the
exercises would help me to relief stress and to clear up my mind. Thus this can be stated that the
plenty of exercises would help to make me more productive towards my work.

Identified goals
My goal is to implement the autocratic leadership style in the organization as I found out
from my coaching classes that this is one of the effective leadership style and this is based on the
autocratic leadership theory.
Future career options
The future career options that I will be getting through my coaching courses based on the

This is evident in this study that by implementing this action plan I will be able to
become the effective leader. By the SWOT analysis, I will be able to find out my strengths and
weakness for choosing the job career. The opportunities and threats will help me to identify the
proper job role. The determination of the perfect strategies for practicing effective leadership
shows that the implementation of the action plan are necessary for the career objectives
(Podsakoff and Podsakoff 2018). Examining the proper leadership style and applying it help to
improve the operation of the organization.
Conclusion
Therefore from the above discussion it can be concluded that I was not happy with my
previous learnings and my previous job of lawyer. This is so because it lacks creativity and I
wanted to opt that type of job, which would allow me to explore my creative ideas in my
working place. For choosing such leadership role I have enrolled myself in the coaching courses
for gaining proper knowledge regarding the leadership and management. I will be able to detect
