INTRODUCTION
Being assigned on the job role of Business Operations Management trainee during the
period of my internship. The report will discuss my problem-solving skills in brief and will
explore my talent in the field of work. In this report I am going to display my performance and
role in problem-solving skills. Problem solving skills play an important role in a business
environment as they tend to increase the businesses' chances of growth. I believe that having a
good set of problem-solving skills can make one more smarter and intelligence and would lead
one towards growth and success.
Involvement of implementing the skill
GATINFOS is one of the famous information technology support companies in the
United Kingdom. During my period here as a Business operation's management trainee, I
have managed to display a number of problem-solving skills. These skills were used in different
situations where the organisation was facing troubles in keeping its operations smooth. During
the recent Brexit issue, the organisation saw troubles in allocating its stakeholders with the right
duties to behold the impact and manage things effectively(Basten, et.al, 2018). As my role of
Business operation's management trainee, I was assigned with the task to provide these
stakeholders with the necessary required allocation to make sure everything in the organisation is
going as per the requirement to make sure the success of Brexit. I made use of strategies such as
analysing of the factors or causes which contributes to the unwanted situation, generating a set of
alternative interventions in achieving my end goal, evaluating the best solutions etc. to solve the
related problems and made the organisation take care of the Brexit situation easily(Hawkins and
Sump, 2016).
Literature
As per Robertson, It is important for one to have efficient management and leadership
knowledge to deal with the problems occurring in business situations. The employee should be
aware of the situations faced by the organisation and should briefly find efficient ways with the
help and understanding of the organisations managers and leaders(Robertson, 2016). To perform
the task and job role efficiently I used the method of Robertson to make myself clear about what
should I be doing to ensure the success of the given task. I made usage of methods such as
understanding the stakeholders needs and requirements and providing allocations according to

included good communication skills, knowledge of leadership and management etc. I
implemented the provided skills and management techniques to ensure that each and every
stakeholder is provided with right tasks which they can manage efficiently(Chen and Rybak,
2017). There were some issues that I faced which I managed to deal with effective response and
patience.

The checklist as a problem solver to solve and understand the issues is mentioned below:
Am I understanding the problems well?
Is there more research I can do to develop better problem solving skills?
Am I making the organisations work smooth and effective?
Are the stakeholders are satisfied with the given work or is there anything making them
unsatisfied from the work given?
Am I providing the stakeholders with the necessary guidance and practices from which
their work is getting easy?
Am I making their simplifying their work or making it complex?
Am I taking the necessary feedback from the organisation's stakeholders in order improve
my work?
Am I having good communication with these stakeholders to understand what they want
from me?
Reflection
From my created framework in ensuring the success of the given job role. I successfully
managed to perform my duties and responsibilities well(Viera and Kramer, 2016). The prepared
checklist helped me in attaining and understanding the importance of my tasks and also helped
me in making me successfully achieving them. I learned about a variety of stakeholders, their job
roles, how they manage their tasks and what really impacts their growth and management within
the organisational environment of GATINFOS. From the literature of Robertson, I understood
the efficient method of understanding the organisation's environment and used it while solving
the problems. I made things smooth and efficient from applying the effective time management
techniques. I applied Time management to make sure each and every stakeholder in the
organisation is getting the right amount of attention. I used the strategy of evaluating the best

included good communication skills, knowledge of leadership and management etc. I
implemented the provided skills and management techniques to ensure that each and every
stakeholder is provided with right tasks which they can manage efficiently(Chen and Rybak,
2017). There were some issues that I faced which I managed to deal with effective response and
