Background
Leadership has positive impact on quality of nursing care, as it creates conditions for full
potential and development of best nursing care aspects within health and social care services
within sector. The role of leadership among quality of nursing care is to enable nurses to reach
full potentiality, personal and organizational efficiency within various critical conditions. Nurses
are able to pertain take faster quality decisions for evolving towards patient care delivery, and
extending best parameters for timely health management. Research will enable in depth research
analysis on impact of leadership on quality of nursing care, in health and social care sector and
specific factors to improve practical implementation (Jack and et.al, 2022).

Research methodology
Research type: The research will be done using qualitative research type, as it provides
insightful depth related to specific health and social care industry and allows creativity to be
driving force. Qualitative research type also offers new functional pace to identify open ended
and specific human experience parameters, which is widely diverse.
Research philosophy: Interepretivism research philosophy will be used to analyze specific
opinions, values and emotions presented in qualitative format. The research will be done in
health and social care sector, to evolve towards better working parameters within qualitative
research.
Data collection: The present research will be conducted using primary as well as secondary data
collection methods for productive research, and to gain informative information. Secondary
research information will be attained from online reading materials, web papers and magazines
on nursing within health and social care sector. Primary data collection, will be done by attaining
direct information from nurses through survey method within health and social care sector.
Literature Review
The aim of literature review is to inform research topic, theoretically analyze various
secondary studies of research and comparatively gain results. First theme discussed is based on
concept of leadership in nursing care, followed by aspects of quality nursing care and further
impact of leadership on nursing care will be discussed.
Determination of concept of leadership in nursing care
As per the views of Rumse and et.al (2022), leaders oversee nursing units, ensuring
nurses establishes protocols and procedures for maintaining patient safety and high quality care.
It also enables to form specific rise in organizational goals, based on aligning nursing unit goals
within healthcare organization larger strategic objectives diversely. The research done by author
in recent study also sheds light on fact that quality of nursing care, is directly correlated to
working leadership. It enables to serve patients best treatments in timely manner, provide
medical and nursing care aspects and shape leadership outcomes on wider domains.
However, another author Livesa and et.al (2022), contradicts statement that leadership in
nursing care holds huge complexity and uncertainty to be explored. It may be time taken aspect

Research Methodology
Research type: There are two types of research type, which are qualitative and quantitative
research. Qualitative research involves collection and analysis of non-numerical data for
understanding concepts, opinions and experiences. While on other hand quantitative research is
used to evaluate numerical data. Qualitative research type has been taken in present research, as
it enables to determine in depth analysis of theoretical data presented in easy format. Qualitative
research type enables to cater authentic data, based on studies which are correlated towards
productive findings.
Research approach: There are two types of research approach which can be segregated into
inductive and deductive research approaches. Inductive research approach is systematic
procedure, for analyzing qualitative data analysis guided by specific evaluation objectives.
Deductive research approach is another approach used to analyze quantitative data. For recent
research, inductive research approach has been used to determine authentic findings presented in
effective format (Lavery and Henshall, 2022).
Data collection: The present research has been done using primary as well as secondary data
collection methods, which enables to get in depth findings evaluated in systematic manner.

Primary data collection is done by survey and secondary data collection has been done by getting
authentic information from journals, books and scholarly articles.
Sampling: Probabilistic sampling has been undertaken, for maintaining reliability of research
findings and increased accuracy for sampling error estimation. Usage of probabilistic sampling
enables to get timely research done in effective format. For the present research, sample size of
30 nurses has been undertaken to attain informative information in cost effective manner and
increase accuracy.
Data analysis: Thematic data analysis has been used within present research, as it will enable
pictorial representation of qualitative data presented in form of graphs and charts. The practical
implementation of thematic data will enable to determine authentic information, presented in
systematic manner.
Ethical considerations: For maintaining ethical method practically in action, nurses’ identity
will be kept anonymous for more authentic and timely research done in effective manner. There
will be specific focus pertained towards maintaining privacy, specific adherence towards
effective findings done at survey.
Research limitations: The research has limitations that, it only explores leadership among
nurses. There is limitation of cost, time factor and specific aspects connected to research only
being limited to nurses within health and social care sector.
Reliability and validity: The research will presently use only reliable and valid information,
pertaining towards usage of authentic information done in precise format. There will be no
alterations in data set and it will be taken from copyright protected sources, for maintaining
effective validity (André, Jacobsen and Haugan, 2022).
