INTRODUCTION
Working with and leading people is an essential part of every enterprise. A leader should
manage and control all the people of the firm in effective manner. Leadership is that quality in
which a person motivate and encourage large number of groups for reaching the end point for the
organisation. Leadership assist in motivating and inspiring employees by which they can
accomplished the work properly. In an organisation, leading the people is the complex task so
that there are various people who does not agree with the terms and conditions of their leaders
and it is not easy to understand for them (Alloway, Bibile and Lau, 2013). The report is based on
United Parcel services (UPS) which is one of the largest courier firm and it is situated in UK.
This will perform different role for supply chain management method. The main motive of this
report is to developing major skills and abilities that is required when they are doing working
with these people and help to lead them. It includes significance of selection, recruitment,
retention of people within an organisation.

1.1 Documentation of selection and recruitment process
Human resource management is one of the essential part of the company which help in
managing and controlling all functions in proper manner. They works for achieving desired goals
and objectives for getting accurate outcome. UPS select only those candidates who have
excellent skills, knowledge, creative skills, innovative abilities and technical skills etc. If their
employees have these ability so that they can easily complete the target goals and objectives.
UPS firm will face different type of issues and problems in their leadership, management and
administration systems (Arnold, Fletcher and Molyneux, 2012). This will badly impact on
company work and by this reason CEO of the organization is also covering this situation. So that
firm will recruit new employees who done their best work for accomplishing desired aims and
objectives.

Approval of Recruitment- An organisation seek to recruit employees for growth and
development of the firm before this they required to take permission from HR manager
of the company. When they are give approval then new candidates are given
interviews, not any other member.

manager has responsibility for place suitable candidates at right position of the

Advertisement- This document will be prepared for creating people awareness

should be followed by the firm. UPS company HR manager plan to recruit candidates, he must
be aware about these rules and laws which are made by company. In an organisation, employees
should be aware about these rules then this will help in reducing the possibility of risk, interview
questions, job posting etc. there are different types of rules and laws which mainly associated
with the selection and recruitment that includes regulation act, Employment equality regulation
act, sex discrimination act and many other (Bolman and Deal, 2014). Here are certain impacts of
legal, regulatory and ethical consideration which are discussed as follows: Age regulation Act- As per this act, young and old employees should get similar benefit
by the organisation and they can not do any discrimination activities among them. Right to Employment Act- This act will help the HR manager for analyse the candidate

candidates who passed the previous test. In this sessions, interviewer are ask question
related to education, qualification, background, knowledge, skills and experience and also
know about cultural background.
Appointment- Company will recruit only those candidates who are fulfil all requirements
of the job profile. Human resource department will given appointment letter to those
employees who will pass all the interview rounds in proper manner. They mainly appoint
those employee who has ability to handle all work of an organisation.

provides major responsibility for handle all the factors that are related to the selection and

procedures, human resource manager of the company assist in preparing documents which are
required at the time of recruiting the employees. This is that process which help in selecting

suitable employee for the organisation. They help in board of directors for selecting panel who

manner. With the help of team working, employees work will became easy and simple. There are
various factors which discussed the UPS company success that are as under: Build employee relation- This is very essential for the leaders is to proper cooperated

work for its best level when employees help each other in proper manner. Thus this will
help in promoting employees relationship among each other and they are work for
