REFLECTION 2
The following reflection is about my own experience while I was a part of a team leading
a project on different leaders of the world and their leadership style. As the project was big so we
all decided to divide the whole project in different parts such as content finder, managing the
work of other team members and guiding them, person who was choosing the most relevant data
and and the last was making the content of the project authenticated. Like my all other team
members I was also appointed with a task and have to make PowerPoint Presentation of the
whole work. We all had two weeks to complete this project. For completing the whole project, it
was essential to have coordination among all the team members and that was only possible
having understanding with each others (Farrell and Ives, 2015). As the project was large and
needs much information so it was unable to complete it by only one person. Due to this, a team
of five members was appointed in order to complete the project.
I decided to make PowerPoint Presentation and present it in the class but at the very first I was a
little bit nervous. It was because I was not known about the abilities of others and was thinking
that what will happen if my work will not prove upto the mark. But after the completion of the
project I thought that it was not that much tough of which I thought. According to my perception,
two of the people in my team excluding me were nervous the whole time and was related to
many reasons such as whether the project will complete in time or not, will they perform good or
not, etc. The same condition was also with me but it was also necessary to complete the project.
So we started with a view to give our best in completing the project. During the complete course
of work, the best part was about the coordination among the team members which has
contributed much to the success of this project (Horton-Deutsch and Sherwood, 2017). I came to
understand the importance of coordination in team work at the time when it provided various
benefits to our project such as enhancing the team spirit, increased motivation, and provides
proper direction to the team members which helps in making the project in right way. All the
team members were helping each other and were performing well in their work. The bad
experience was about the non completion of the work on time because of one of our team
members. As he did not provided us data to complete the work on time due to this my work also
got effected. However, it took some time to let him understand about how to perform the work
and later on I covered the lost part of my work. My other team members helped him by telling
him the way that how he can find the relevant data from the source. I knew properly how to

make PowerPoint Presentation and I did the work so well. But I faced difficulties in presenting
the PPT in front of the class as I decided to choose to do two work which were making
PowerPoint Presentation and presenting it in front of the class.
In my good work was all about the preparation of PPT. That all was good and the work
was beautifully done by me. It increased my motivation level and made me sure enough to do
this kind of work again in future in a good way. However, the bad was all about the presentation
of PPT in front class (Schön, 2017). As I have no experience of giving speech or presenting PPT,
so I lacked in communicating to the class, I knew what I was saying but I was unable to let
others understand what I want to convey to them. I was lacking in skills of communication and
confidence. Due to these problems I was unable to reach to the class. This also affected the
whole work as everything went in the right direction but due to improper presentation, it created
bad impact on the whole presentation and work itself. I will try to over come these weaknesses in
communication skills and will work on improvement in my confidence level. From this mistake I
learnt that these negativities effect badly not only the current provided project but will also effect
the future projects which I will take.
The leadership style that affected me the most was one adopted by the Pakistan's
President Imran Khan, as the leadership style adopted by him was Autocratic Leadership Style
and has created great affect on the team work of Pakistan. By applying this leadership style by
the Captain, Pakistan won the 1992 World Cup under the Captaincy of Imran Khan. The reason
why this leadership style influenced me a lot is the understanding which Imran Khan had. His
knowledge about leadership and the behaviour of his team made him to make use of this
leadership style and he also proved his decision right which is clear from the outcome.
The positive experience which I cam across during the completion of this project was
about the importance of communication in team. By doing proper communication to each other,
it has become possible for us to make the completion of the project in time and also created good
relationship among all of us. It was really a good and enjoyable experience to work with the team
in this project. In the negative experience, it is all about my weaknesses related to low
confidence level and lack of communication skills which I faced during the presentation of PPT
in front of the class. The skills which are needed to develop in order to make the future provided
projects accomplished in a good and effective way are improvement in the confidence level and
making communication effective (Dahl and Eriksen, 2016). This will be done with by giving

demos in the class, taking participation in group discussion and group activities so these types of
problem do not rise again in future. I twill help in avoiding future discrepancies in work and
make the work to be completed in a successful and effective one. I had also prepared a schedule
which will help me in accomplishing different activities of my work to be completed in time.
