TASK 1
Aim: To identify the formal professional identity as defined by the behaviour and values
framework of CIPD.
Objective:
To understand the meaning of formal professional identity
To understand the impact of behaviour and values framework of CIPD on
professional identity
To identify the behaviour and value framework included in CIPD for professional
identity.
Literature review
The meaning of formal professional identity
As per the view point of Behizadeh, Thomas and Behm Cross, (2019) The perception
of one's self in connection to a profession and one's membership in it is referred to as
professional identity. Individuals identify themselves in their present or future professional
lives by their views and attitudes, values, reasons, and experiences, which form their
professional identity. The two professional domains of Insights, Strategy, and Solutions and
Leading HR are at the core of the profession and apply to all HR practitioners, regardless of
job, location, or stage of career, whether working within or outside of organisations. They
discuss how outstanding HR professionals work to make HR's goal - sustainable organisation
performance – a reality by leveraging insights to craft HR strategies and deliver solutions that
stick, bringing people along with them while being adaptable and inventive. “The attitudes,
values, knowledge, beliefs, and abilities shared with others within a professional group” is
how professional identity is described. Professional identity is a fluid concept that evolves
over time, from university studies to a health professional's work life. The time spent
finishing a university programme accounts for a large portion of this development.

The impact of behaviour and values framework of CIPD on professional identity
In views of Esterhuizen, (2019) The primary goal of the people profession is to
promote improved employment and working conditions. Making good, fair, and inclusive
work a societal outcome by creating roles, opportunities, organisations, and working
environments that help people achieve their full potential, delivering great organisational
outcomes, driving our economies, and making good, fair, and inclusive work a societal
outcome. Maintaining our collective identity as a profession, as well as knowledge of what's
essential, what we stand for, and what we're attempting to do, requires a common purpose
(Rutter and Brown, 2019). This is what the new Profession Map has distilled. This common
set of principles and norms enables the profession to retain and grow the trust and credibility
required to effect change in the workplace. By incorporating the new Profession Map into
your everyday work, the profession as a whole will earn more trust and credibility. We may
have the greatest influence on people and organisational development strategies if we start
from a place of trust. The new Profession Map won't tell Me what to do, but it will teach me
how to make better decisions in every scenario by following principles, using evidence, and
focusing on results.
The behaviour and value framework included in CIPD for professional identity.
As per the view point of Gorman, (2019) based on research and partnership with
organisations throughout the world, the CIPD Profession Map essentially communicates what
the most successful HR professionals know and do at every stage of their career, and is
proving to be a strong tool. The CIPD's Profession Map is currently being used by a wide
range of organisations and HR professionals to benchmark and develop their HR skill at the
individual, team, department, and organisational levels. In four levels of professional
competence for each professional field, it specifies what I must do, what I must know, and
how I must do it. It covers both the behavioural and technical components of HR professional
proficiency. From small to big organisations, from fundamental to advanced practise, local to
global, corporate to consultancy, charitable to public sector, conventional to progressive, the
Map's reach includes the breadth and depth of the HR profession (Erdogan, 2019). It can be
employed in part or as a whole, with the main professional fields functioning as the key or
centre that is important to everyone. At four levels of professional competence, it describes
what you need to perform (activities) and what you need to know for each area of the HR

profession describes the behaviours that HR professionals must have in order to carry out
their duties. Each behaviour is divided into four categories based on its level of professional

TASK 2
Research Methods and Data Analysis
INTRODUCTION
The actions and processes followed by the researcher to perform the study effectively
are referred to as research methodology. It is critical to be aware of and comprehend the
technique that will aid in the study (Shavit and Moshe, 2019). One of the most important
aspects of any study is the technique. The researcher must take into account a number of
factors. They assist me in the successful conduct of the research. It is a method for selecting,
collecting, identifying, and analysing data.
RESEARCH PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy of research it’s a way of thinking about how data is analysed, acquired,
and used. It is critical to choose the best method for doing research. It deals with the nature,
source, and evolution of data, as well as extracting knowledge from it. It is a critical
component of the dissertation's completion. It is essential to understand the many types of
philosophy that are accessible and to choose the one that is most suited for this study (Arnold
and Boggs, 2019). I used Ontology as it is a different method that should be considered. Data
is obtained using genuine and accurate information, according to this research philosophy.
The structure of nature is followed in this strategy to collect data and extract information
from it.
Research Types
It is the framework within which the researcher conducts his or her research. These
are the methods that the researcher uses. It aids in determining the most appropriate way for
determining the research's strategy (Ng, Wright and Kuper, 2019). Explanatory research

design is being utilised by me to conduct this study because it allows me to analyse secondary
data in a methodical manner. As part of this study, a literature review was conducted, which
will aid in the analysis of the data. It may be claimed that it is critical to comprehend all of
the designs and choose the one that is most appropriate for the study challenge and aids in
drawing conclusions.
Data Collection and analysis
It is an essential component of research technique. Because data collection is
necessary and should be carried out properly. The data findings are based on the information
gathered. Primary and secondary data collection are the two forms of data collection. The
interview method, projective technique, technique, focus group interviews, and questionnaire
method are all instruments that may be utilised in primary research (Teater, 2019). This study
is based on secondary data collected from published journals, books, historical and statistical
papers, government publications, corporate records, and other sources. This research report
identifies and evaluates the research's goal. It enables for a large number of government
publications, all of which provide essential information to researchers. The applicability of
secondary data collecting is determined by the breadth of the item and the nature of the study
issue. This is why a researcher in this study used secondary research data.
Analysis of Data
Secondary data analysis is a thorough examination of data that contains important
information. A person can reach their targets and objectives with the use of secondary data
analysis. In order to fulfil their objectives, researchers must inspect, convert, cleanse, and
model data. Data analysis is particularly useful for researchers in coming to conclusions and
providing suggestions about what they should do after conducting research. It's also a great
tool for assisting in decision-making (Supriyadi and Juli, 2019). A researcher can explore the
study object using secondary data in order to achieve their goals and objectives. It is used to
identify the researcher's study process, which includes data collection, analysis, and
interpretation for use in the study report. With a specific technique and evaluation
procedures, secondary analysis becomes one of the finest systematic procedures. The creation
of research questions is the first step in the secondary analysis process. After that, an analyst

looks for data sets that will assist them in finding the finest answer. It can be accomplished by
examining data sets that have been obtained.
Ethical considerations
I come across various guidelines and laws pertaining to research that take ethical
considerations into account. These principles, beliefs, and privacy policies are founded on
people's norms, values, and beliefs. All ethical standards must be met in order to meet the
professional conduct of human engagement (Darling-Hammond and Oakes, 2021). The
fundamental ethical consent that a researcher must follow when conducting study is to
respect secrecy and privacy. The issue of sharing information without the author's consent,
which will result in a penalty and the termination of research ethics, must be addressed by the
right to secrecy and privacy. In this case, the researcher must first inquire about the
willingness of participants to provide information.
Task 3
Part C: The Reflexive Practitioner Storyboard
Gibb’s Model of reflection
Professor Graham presented the Gibbs reflective cycle in his book Learning by Doing, which
was published in 1988. People recognise that the greatest way to learn is by experience; yet,
if they do not reflect on their experiences, they will be unable to actively think about their
learning, making it difficult for them to learn anything. Gibbs' reflective cycle consists of five
processes that an individual might use to reflect on their experiences in order to learn from
them. It is a framework for evaluating experience in creating cyclic hydrocarbons with
experience is helping you to learn. This reflection model is crucial for individuals because it
helps them understand their own thinking and allows them to learn from things that went well
or poorly. The Gibbs model of reflection has assisted me in analysing how I have improved
my communication abilities during my course in the following ways:
Description – Because of my enthusiasm in this subject, I've always wanted to start my
career in the beauty sector and marketing. That is why I have decided to enrol in a course
where I will gain a thorough understanding of the beauty industry as well as learn how to

apply marketing tactics in my business to promote products and services. It is a portion of my
education in which my professors teach me about how an entrepreneur should treat their
customers and the importance of excellent communication in marketing. Following that, I
completed multiple group projects in which I was designated as the group's leader. As a
leader, I must communicate effectively and efficiently with all members of my team in order
to manage the whole project in the group in such a way that each individual effectively
performs their project obligations. If there is an issue with the project, I am the one who must
speak with the project's seniors and professors in order to fix the group's problem. As a result,
I became a conduit between my team members and teachers, allowing them to communicate
with one another. Marriage number of things that will help me in my professional career. In
this scenario encounter with number of difficulties in managing different individual as a
leader. This make me uncomfortable to deal with different individuals while performing the
role of leader. In order to overcome this situation I followed an appropriate plan where my
teachers are also helpful for me in fixing this problem and improvising my abilities to
perform in my future career as a leader and a human resource manager.
Feelings - I used to be a quiet, low-confidence person before becoming the team's leader. I
lack the courage to even be among my peers, and I was unable to ask any questions of my
professors during class. My teacher nominated me as the team's leader to help me overcome
my timidity (Molope and Oduaran, 2020). As the team captain, I've seen that I've gained a lot
of confidence in communicating with my teammates, as well as professors and seniors. I was
astounded to see such a great difference in myself and delighted to be a beautiful person.
When my instructor named me as the team's leader, I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to
handle the entire group. I went to my instructor to explain and discuss my issue, but they
refused to address it. Then I made the decision that no matter what, I would handle the entire
job to the best of my ability. Of this material my feelings are very low where I am was not
able to understand the things related to management and leading. After sometime performing
within the material feelings are getting stronger step by step. As I am passing the different
steps my feelings are getting stronger and understanding different situations.
Evaluation - I saw some beneficial changes in myself as a result of participating in this
activity, such as being able to comprehend others more clearly. As a leader, I have done my
Document Page
best to undertake the obligations that my instructor has assigned to me to manage the entire
project. The project demands communication with a number of individuals who are involved
with it, including those who are involved in the service, my seniors, my classmates, my team
members, and professors. To obtain useful information for the assignment, I must be kind
enough to engage with them so that they can supply me with the information I needed Aside
from that, I need strong communication abilities that will allow me to grasp the Sender's
message and communicate messages in a way that the recipient can grasp. Although it had a
negative affect on some of my talents, such as planning and organising, because
communication is a time-consuming process and I was unable to conduct adequate research
on my issue. However, the project is going well, and as a mediator between my team and the
seniors and professors, I have effectively transmitted all of the information.
Conclusions - The assessment enables me to conclude that, with the assistance of tasks
offered by our professors to our group, I have developed good communication abilities. There
have been a number of hurdles that I've had to overcome in order to strengthen my
communication abilities and other abilities that the project has helped me acquire. If I am
confronted with the same problem again in the future, I am certain that I will be able to deal
with it more successfully and will be able to use various abilities that I have learned over the
project, particularly efficient communication, to manage the team and the project. I also
determined that if I improve my leadership skills, I will be better equipped to manage this
sort of situation. It can be concluded from my journey that different to the leadership styles
that are have to understand in order to be effective marketing manager or HR manager with in
my shoes and organisations in beauty and fashion first in order to accomplish my objective I
need it to be a perfect individual who has various skills I also in order to improve ise my
performance in my future career and achievement objectives in effective manner for start the
leadership styles that I have to follow you must include the democratic leadership under
which I will take concern of different individuals working under me so that I can be an
effective leader along with effective manager
Actions: If a similar circumstance arises again in the future, I will propose a number of steps.
Pre-training in leadership abilities will be one of these steps. In order to accomplish the
project in a way that is beneficial to the group, I am confronted with a number of issues that
Document Page
may be resolved by developing good leadership abilities. Aside from that, I'd want to take a
few steps forward, such as creating a strategy at the front rather than jumping right into the
project after receiving it. With my previous piece, I studied how, when the instructor assigned
the assignment to me, I immediately began working on it without even thinking about it or
formulating a strategy to accomplish it. This has caused a slew of issues throughout the
activity. As a result, in order to take effective activities in the following stage, I'll first create
a strategy so that I know where I need to go to finish the job. These acts will provide an
individual additional experience for which they may submit a description and which will
need to be reviewed again in the future project.
The Gibbs model functions as a never-ending cycle, with each individual's action in
the next project continuing the cycle. This is a never-ending cycle since it is a human activity
that begins at birth and continues until death. They will also execute activities that need a
description and learn skills from them, and this cycle will continue until the individual's final
breath. It can be derived from the above that there are various aspects in my learning that
helped me a lot in improvising my skills along with being effective learner. My story is
directly related to the part of my working and my learning that helped me a lot while
performing my functions within these professional Medusa. These materials are useful for an
individual to become a successful person with the near future and grab a best career
opportunity in their life. It’s needed to be understand in effective manner where the teachers
are supportive and the other members are also useful. The whole module is designed in such
a way that our individual and improvised themselves and being a great employee in near
future.
