Presenting Myself as a Product
Introduction
In this essay, I have made a decision to present myself as an Alpha product. I will be
examining this Alpha product then determine whether this Alpha product needs to be taken off
from market be promoted in the market. Various analysis are performed on this alpha product
after which, a conclusive decision is reached about product. 1

From the BCG, this Alpha product proves to be a star. As a star employee, I am a leader
in the business and I need huge investment or development to retain my outstanding
performance. This leads to my achievement of business objectives and continuous development
is required else the star shall change to a CASH-COW. 2
What does the product come with that gives it value?
I am passionate about my work and this is good to the organization since every company
always seek to employ workers who enjoy their work. Thus, a passionate individual, I evokes the
feeling of dedication as well as loyalty to the organization. By being passionate about my work, I
am naturally committed to the quality and hence provide the desired outcome in the organization.
Thus, I am increasingly passionate regarding my work since I love whatever I carry out since I
have a stable source of inspirations and motivations that drive me to put my finest input in
whatever task I am assigned to undertake. 3
I am a driven and ambitious employee, two qualities, both of which are fundamental to
success and growth in various jobs. Thus, as an ambitious person in organization, I rest assures
my employer that I will consistently seek to improve myself and keep my eyes strongly set on
the next goal. Thus, I am drive and ambitious and always flourish on challenges and continually
set objectives for myself thus I have a thing to strive towards. I am never contented with stetting,
and I am always seeking for an opportunity to do better and accomplish greatness. In my past
roles, I was got three promotions in under two years.

I am a people-individual and I enjoy to meet novel individuals as well as learning
regarding their respective backgrounds and lives. I can manage to nearly find shared ground with
strangers, and I love making individuals feel comfortable in my presence. Such skill remains
useful when I kick off my projects with novel customers and in my past role, my client’s
consumer had scores of fifteen percent over the firm’s average in satisfaction.
I am also a natural leader and I have ultimately received promotions to a leadership
position in nearly each job since I love helping individuals. I always get my colleagues often
coming to me with queries and apprehensions even where I am never in a leadership position
since I do not know correct response, I will effectively direct them, I was promoted in leadership
positions in my past two positions in less than a year working for a Company. Thus, while
people can be taught management skills, I naturally take on leadership role in group settings.
This is good for the employers who always seek for natural leaders for non-leadership and
leadership positions since they set a desired example and hence easily boost the morale of the
team. 4
I am also result-oriented and always keep the end-goal in my mind and knows the
specific resources it shall take to get there. Thus, I believe this is a good experience to employers
who know that when a result-oriented individual is hired, he will do whatever it takes to have a
proper job done. Thus, as a result-oriented person, who constantly check in with a goal of
determining how near or distant away I am and whatever it shall require to take place, I will be
of great help to the organization to achieve the objectives. This is because I always find pleasure

motivating and inspiring all my team members. Indeed, over the previous 12 months, I managed
to assist my teammates lessen the average time the products takes to reach market by one week. 5
I am also an excellent communicator and I find this so helpful in the organization since
effective communication skills remain essential for continuous success in nearly all position and
each industry, yet they often done naturally come to everyone. As a worker who communicates
effectively, I always help my organization ensure that messages are never muddled internally or
when during information delivery to the customers. 6 Therefore, I am an excellent communicator
and I pride myself on ensuring that individuals have the desired information since it drives better
outcome in the organization. Most business issues arise from ineffective communication, and
thus, I feel a responsibility to keep all colleagues on the same level or page. Such skills have
helped me boost my personal client-retention rate by over forty percent in a year, and assisted the
team deliver one hundred percent of our project by original due date. 7

Life experiences?
I have been able to develop and deliver a customer-focused service in my previous work.
I achieved this by effectively responding to customer needs by specifically seeking to
understanding customer needs and delivering services that remain responsive to diverse needs of
the customers. I have also been able to achieve this by providing excellent customer service and
this help me meet the needs of the customers. 8
I have demonstrated the desired experience to help the company meet its objectives in my
previous roles. This is demonstrated by my previous role whereby I was a team member of four
shop assistants that sold stationery in a big department store. Our supervisor had tasked me to
organize a special promotion of a novel product range. I had to undertake this while continuing
with my normal duty in a busy section of our store. I had only one week given for the event
preparation. 9
The outcome was inspiring because during the 2-weeks of promotion, we managed to
boost our sales by more than double the normal total, primarily because of the manner I had

promoted this new product to our customers. Clienteles indicated that they substantially enjoyed
sampling products and my supervisor recommended a bonus for this particular work. 10
Reflecting on this, I believe it would have been even better if I had consulted clientele
regarding what they need for the range of products. Moreover, by constantly consulting the team
members on my perspectives and asking for their opinions, I gained their dedication and trust
and we yielded a much more effective result than I could have solely done. 11
Cultural Experiences?
I am conscious that the world is rapidly becoming a borderless place and that culture,
beliefs, races and ideologies blend together and interact due to the growing communication
advances. Thus, to succeed in such a world, I have realized that I need to adapt to several cultural
differences and maintain some sense of individual identity. Thus, it never comes a dismay to me
that the experiences I have had with other cultures have solely acted to enrich my experience.
Specifically, I remember that initial few months at my previous job stood challenging as I
had to continuously adjust to the workforce culture because of the existence of diversity. There
were several different patterns of speech alongside practices arising from various individual I
worked with, however, I soon enough managed to make friends and become increasingly adept

at communicating with the colleagues which provided to doorway to other cultures since it
allowed me to reach out to other individuals from other nations and cultures who had also come
to work in the same organization. 12
Provided my open-minded nature alongside keen interest in learning increasingly
regarding other cultures, I immediately found myself in the company of American, Chinese, and
Indian friend from diverse culture as well as religions. Such an experience has since taught me a
significant lesson specifically when dealing with individuals from different cultures. No obstacle
exist that is so challenging to overcome that patience as well as understanding can never address.
No unacceptable culture or belief exist but only intolerable individuals exists. 13
My experiences during my short-lived stint in such a culturally-diverse workplace have
demonstrated that so much more exist in life which can be studied and learned when we learn to
remain open ourselves up to other individuals and their associated cultures. The globe never
revolves around one country or race, it is comprised of a rich tapestry of contrasts and
similarities and that is what makes our experience so awesome. Thus, the key depends on being
capable of acting locally but thinking globally, as has been demonstrated by my experiences. 14

Therefore, I feel culturally-competent and ready to work in any workplace and promote
cultural diversity at workplace. This is because I have decided to no longer be willing to live in a
society full of immoralities and with individuals who are primarily determined to adhere to a
standard trend throughout their lives. The previous years influenced me in observing the globe
via different lenses. 15
The fact that I observed various individuals actively engaged in receiving social
acceptance nearly made me ill because I knew that many of such individuals had dreams, a
distinct personality, and everything it needed to be successful from their own perspective, not
from social order viewpoint. Thus, I do not ascribe to the historical tendency of a society to
influence individuals in placing access some behaviors which might be damaging for personal
identity which make people to lack capability of differentiating between ideas which are his and
those induced due to environment he lives in.16

Expertise?
As an accounting and finance professional, I bring the desired skills into the workplace in
such areas as financial analysts, investment counselor, or financial planner. I have undertaken
degree programs in finance and accounting and a coursework in communication which are all
useful in my area of expertise. I have excellent analytical ability as well as interpersonal skills
besides a sharp comprehension of industry technology. 17
As a person who manages money which is the most valuable commodity in organization,
I bear a great deal of responsibility and that is why I am trustworthy and can perform well under
intense pressure. I have demonstrated both soft and technical skills in my field. Specifically, I
own such accounting skills as knowledge essential to record accounting transactions alongside a
strong comprehension of applicable regulations in accounting. I am also very comfortable
reading and discussing financial statement to provide financial advice being that I am also an
expert accountant who can effectively prepare financial statements. 18
I also own desired analytical thinking or skills which have helped me look at scenarios
accurately, comprehending how it works, interpreting what it implies, and subsequently coming
up with a desired thoughtful, and intelligent response. Such a skill helps me in technical

applications including financial and data analysis alongside broader applications like generalized
problem-solving. 19
I am also comfortable using modern technologies which have made my work easier and
faster in terms of finding, sorting, and processing bulk of info I need to work in accounting or
finance. I have clear understanding of the technology which ensures that I can easily use it which
has been the downside when using technology. I achieve this by grounding myself in modern IT
and rigorously keeping myself up to date. I have in-depth experience with spreadsheet program
which is a plus to my duties.
I am also competent in both verbal and written communication which not only make me
able to communicate precisely to provide desired financial advice, but also inspire trust as well
as develop a desirable rapport with colleagues. This has made organizations to trust me with
money since I actually have integrity and proper judgment.
Conclusion
The implication of this analysis to the business is that I have a big potential, might have
been costly to develop, worth expenditure to sufficiently promote, and take into account, the
degree of my life cycle of employment when making a decision. I am thus a viable employee to
the business which needs not be the endgame and removed from the market. This implies that the
organization will have high ROI from me since I am a star worker and will also have to spend or
invest to improve me as a product. I offer opportunities rather than a threat to the organization.
