Self- Reflection
INTRODUCTION
Self-reflection refers to the process through which individual is able to share their
experiences and views in the form of report. In order to effectively present it various reflective
models are also available such as Gibb's reflection model. This report is based on my working
experience in one of the leading fast food company of UK (Abdulsalam and et. al., 2015). The
processing of supply chain is reflected into this report.
The following self-reflection is based on Gibb's Reflective Model:
Self-reflection is analysed by considering the Gibbs critical reflection model, all the six
steps of the models are considered in order to generate effective results. Following are the
reflection steps:

1. Description
While working in a group assignment, team was constructed consisting of three members.
During the initial days of work the team members were not known to me. For preparing report,

discussion with each team member was very important. Therefore, communication was essential
for further processing of the assignment. In order to discuss situation and issues interaction with
team members is crucial. It helps in identifying the thoughts and ideas of others. It also helps in
analyzing strengths and weaknesses of team members. With the help of these discussions
involvement and interaction of employees increases to a great extent and also helps in increasing
efficiency and effectiveness of the process (Sreedevi and Saranga, 2017). At some point team
members were not satisfied with each other, during that, various activities were organised to
make them agree at a common point, shuffling of team was part of activity.
2. Feelings.
The shifting of team was disturbing confidence of my team. Due to this approach
employees were not able to effectively interact with each other and involve themselves in tasks
that were allotted. My team was not able to discuss their views efficiently, due to communication
gap. Along with this distribution of team was done without identifying strengths and weaknesses
of the workers, which created direct impact on performances of members. Along with this I have
faced various problems in analysing strengths and weaknesses of my team and influenced
distribution of task. It was creating overall mpact on the assignment of supply chain, also
affecting report. As members were not able to effectively perform their job. Along with this as
they were not working in a team, they are not able to handle difficult situations. It resulted into
the negative impact on management of supply chain
and influenced my teams image.
3. Evaluations.
While processing, I have analysed that the performance of my team was beyond my
expectation. They were able to handle all the situations and have also implemented effective
solutions. The senior team members of my group provided effective guidance to their
subordinates and junior members. Along with this they were boosting their confidence to
preform productively. They were considering advance technologies in order to reduce and
remove communication gap, such as messengers, WhatsApp and also considering emails. The
early stage of this process was fearful, as the knowledge and ability of members were not known.
After watching their performances, stress and pressure of achieving conducive result was
removed. They were interacting with the employees of various outlets of fast food company. It

helped in identifying the loopholes while processing management strategies of supply chain.
Along with this it helped my friends in interacting with workers at various parts of the world. It
supported in maintaining effectiveness of supply chain of company (Sreedevi and Saranga,
2017).
4. Analysis
While working on this assignment, I analysed various points that I failed in handling and
generate effective results. The planning and management strategies related to supply chain were
not much effective. Along with this communication gap between team members was also one of
the biggest problem. It creates huge impact on the understanding and analysis of the situation. It
influences the results at great extend (Abdulsalam and et. al., 2015). Various ideas and
viewpoints of group were not considered. It affected the overall results of supply chain
management. All the employees are not provided with equal opportunities so that they can
present their views and perspectives. It caused adverse impact on the performance of team.
5. Conclusion
The above implemented assignment processing was generated effective results. All the
activities were completed effective. At some points various challenges and difficulties also being
faced by me and by team members,such as communication gap and frequently shuffling of team.
This led to the involvement and interaction gap in group. Due to this, members were not
discussing their viewpoints and perspectives with each other, it creates huge impact on analysing
the situation of supply chain of company. Along with this various positive impact of this
activities also identified, such as I had developed various new skills. It helps in dealing with
different situation and reaching effective results. Along with this ability of working and handling
a team is also enhanced (Piramuthu and Zhou, 2016). Now I am able to handle group tasks more
effectively and can provide them equal and fair working environment. I would have handled
challenges effectively if I was previously aware of the strengths and weaknesses of my team.
6 Action Plan
In order to enhance effectiveness of the assigned process various new strategies
considered by me. It helps in increasing effectiveness of the results. In this direction first step
was reduction of communication gap and increasing interaction and involvement of employees.
With the help of this process group members able to effectively handle their issues and
prospective. Along with this implementation of technologies also increased to a great extend

(Ho, 2014). It helps in enhancing effectiveness of the communication process. Also helps in
implementing experience of various case scenarios. It enhances the management of supply chain
of fast food company. Along with this advanced approaches and concepts are also required in
order to handle situations effectively. It helps in developing better outcomes. It also helps in
maintaining efficiency of team. Through applying above mentioned action plan, I was able to
enhance ability of my team and results in effective outcomes.
