Introduction
The primary motive of the study has been to describe the issues and experiences,
which I have faced within the professional sphere or within the organizational structure for a
certain time span. The reflection of the current skills along with the skills that will help me in
leading effectively in the global environment will be also described in the study.
Reflect and assess your past experiences, current skills and motivation
In case of the past experiences, I would like to say that I was the Chief Executive
Officer of Procter & Gamble and especially in the early days, I exactly had no idea about the
work methodology of a CEO within the organizational culture. My colleagues have wrongly
viewed me as the coach and that is why P.F. Drucker has argued with them and made them
understand the real work methodology of a chief executive officer in an organization. My
experiences include the observations of the Drucker and my actions have also been much
consistent with them since the early days ("What Only the CEO Can Do", 2019).
In the case of my current skills, I would like to say that I have the capability of
leading the business to the next level. On the other hand, I have also learnt some of the
functional skills along with listening, observing and sensing skills, which a chief executive
officer of a company should possess. I have also some motivational skills which have been
derived from diverse motivational theories and models. (3)
What do you think are the skills need to lead effectively in a global environment?
There are some of the effective skills that should be expressed in the global
environment. The substantial skills are very necessary to acquire as a Chief executive officer
of an organization. On the other hand, I have also envisaged over the skills that are related to
personal involvement with the experienced leaders and managers within the organizational
culture. Moreover, I think that the career planning is a very important part of skills by which
the values and standards of work procedures of other employees can be set ("What Only the
CEO Can Do", 2019).
Why do you think you don’t have those skills yet?
I think that still now I do not have some of the essential skills, which I should have
possessed while working within the organizational culture. I have a feeling of inadequacy and
I have failed in collecting the right acumen of the company (Drucker, 2017). I have a lack of
management skills and that is why I am feeling such as management aloofness and having a

lack of assertiveness in me. This has been one of the crucial situations of my life, where I am
suffering from organizational confusion, anarchical behaviour and lack of skills in giving
directions to the subordinates ("What Only the CEO Can Do", 2019).
How do your office colleagues from different culture view your identified skill shortage?
In the case of the office colleagues, it can be observed that there are some employees
who are supportive in nature. They will not feel impatient when you are directing in a wrong
manner or giving wrong decisions to a certain piece of the problem. On the other hand, there
are also some office colleagues, who are much dedicated to their work and they have no
mentality in compromising with something or someone apart from their work. These workers
are not supportive in nature and they really provoke me in my absence within the
organizational culture ("What Only the CEO Can Do", 2019).
