Assessment scores
Questionnaires are one of the means, which helps in conducting self-assessment. This
self-assessment is assistance in terms of improvising on the leadership skills, competencies
and abilities (Nwlink.com, 2019). The scope and arena of the questionnaires is the leadership
style beliefs. After taking the survey, I found that my score were as follows:

voting for decision-making and time for considering the suggestions provided by others and
engaging the team members in the mainstream activities. I consider this to be my greatest
strengths in terms of enhancing the leadership skills, competencies and abilities (Nwlink.com,
2019). On the other hand, the fields where my scores are low are decision-making, guiding
and supporting the team members through the exposure of strategic approach. These are the
areas, where I think improvements are needed.

to determine what they need to determine and the process. This is one of the areas, which I
the need to improve for earning their respect, loyalty and dependence. In terms of setting
priorities, my score is 4, as I lack strategic approach towards guiding the team members
according to the priorities (Nwlink.com, 2019). Monitoring score is 5, which I think needs to
be improved in terms of standards and quality. Therefore, my overall score in the leadership
style survey is 40, which indicates my normal leadership style of Authoritarian, participative
and Delegative.
I can also make mention of the Bolman and Deal’s Four Framework Approach to
leadership, which assesses the appropriateness of behaviour, which is needed for
accomplishing the leadership skills, abilities and competencies. Within this, there are four
frameworks: structural, human resource, political and symbolic. Structural framework is
based on the analysis and design of the approach towards executing the tasks. Human
resource framework relates with the participative leadership style, where the focus is on
engaging the team members into the process and practice (Nwlink.com, 2019). Coalition is
the main component of political framework. In case of symbolic framework, inspiration helps
in modifying the approach towards making the performance according to the requirements.

Johnson, (2016) is of the view that experimenting with the available solutions would enhance
the thinking skills and judgmental capabilities. Explorative approach in this context is
beneficial for me in terms of upgrading the creativity and imaginative thinking. For this,
Rubens et al., (2018) proposes that indulging into different types of activities is needed.
Evaluation of the selected process would help me to assess whether it is appropriate
for solving the problems. Taking into consideration, checklists and templates would be
effective for me to measure the extent to which the operations align with the identified and
the specified objectives. Maintaining consistency in executing the evaluation would upgrade
the standards and quality of the performance. Ay, Karakaya and Yilmaz, (2015) is of the view
that this upgradation is needed for altering the personality to that of a leader.
