INTRODUCTION
Creative & Ethical Leadership refers to the use of various types of approaches, methods
and techniques which are quite helpful in ensuring that the use of right ways can be made within
the organizations which are helpful in ensuring that the attainment of the short-term, medium-
term and long-term goals and objectives can be done in the right manner (Ahmad and Gao,
2018). Therefore, it is required from the management of the companies that they are able to make
its use in a proper manner so that the work can be managed appropriately. This report is based on
Morrisons. It is a British Retail Company which provides a wide variety of products and services
to the customers in the market. In this assignment, there will be specific focus on evaluation of
the development of creative and ethical leadership skills. Additionally, a detailed analysis on
application of a justified systematic approach will be made as a part of this project.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a Marketing Executive who has just joined Morrisons. As a part of my
job role it is important for me to identify the importance of creative and ethical leadership within
the organization so that it is able to progress further in the market as compared to its competitors
and is able to attain the required goals and objectives effectively and efficiently.
Evaluation of development of creative and ethical leadership skills
While Working in Morrisons, I have learnt that it is quite important that the use of
Creative and Ethical leadership skills can be made so that the management is able to ensure that
the attainment of the goals and objectives in the short-term, medium-term and long-term can be
done. I think that it is important that the development of these skills is ensured by the top-level
managers of the company (Ahmad and et.al., 2019). There are different types of characteristics
which are associated with this type of leadership. The explanation of these characteristics is
provided as follows-
Justice- It is an important feature of the top-level leadership within an organization.
While working in Morrisons I have felt the need of ensuring justice within the
organization (Babalola and et.al., 2018). Therefore, it is quite important that the leaders at
the top-level are able to ensure that they are able to provide justice to those who need it
which will be helpful in ensuring that a right impression of the leadership in providing
justice can be made.
Respecting others- It is an important feature which the top-level leadership is required to
display. Working at Morrisons has allowed me to make sure that a right-level of respect
is provided to others which will help in boosting their level of confidence which will thus
be quite helpful in leading towards better application of leadership in a right manner
effectively and efficiently. I think that the leaders at the top-level require having this

ability which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the appropriate respect to the other
people can be provided in a highly effective manner.
Honesty- It is another important feature which is required to be displayed by the top-
level leaders (Bavik and et.al., 2018). If the leaders at the top-level are honest then this
will help others in becoming honest which will be quite helpful for the purpose of
following an ethical code of conduct within the organization. Thus, it is quite crucial for
the management at Morrisons that it is able to ensure that it can display honesty which
will be quite helpful for the application of ethical code of conduct within the
organizations. I think that it is important for the leaders at the top-level to be honest
which will create an inspiration for the people working at the lower-level.
Humane- It is crucial for the leaders and managers at an organization that they display
humanity in their dealing which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the leaders can be
made more ethical effectively and efficiently (Bedi, Alpaslan and Green, 2016).
Therefore, in this way it can be said that for the leaders and managers of Morrisons it is
quite important that they are able to display humanity and can thus create an inspiration
for the other people in the organization. I think that it is important for the management
that they display humanity.
Focus on teambuilding- For the leaders and managers of an organization that they are
able to put their focus on teambuilding which will help in team development highly
effectively and efficiently. Thus, the managers of Morrisons are required to have this
ability which will help in providing a proper motivation to the different teams in the
company in a proper manner. I think that through the development of this ability the
management of the team members in various teams in the organization can be done
appropriately which can be quite helpful in raising the overall level of efficiency and
effectiveness in a highly appropriate manner.
Value driven decision-making- It is quite crucial for the leaders and managers of the
firms that they are able to make the appropriate use of the different types of values so that
the decision-making can be carried out effectively and efficiently (Chen and Hou, 2016).
For the management of Morrisons, it is quite important that the right attention to the
values can be given which will help in taking of important decisions in the future. I think
that the leaders who have this ability are able to lead the people within the organization in
the right direction.
Encouragement to initiative- For the leaders and managers at the top-level within an
organization it is absolutely important that they are able to take the initiative for the
bringing of change within the organization. In a dynamic business environment, there are
lots of changes which a Business Organization is required to face and therefore it is quite
important for the Business Organizations that they are able to implement these changes in
order to stay competent in the market. Thus, it is important for the management of
Morrisons that it is able to take an initiative through which it can implement the required
changes within the company which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the adjustments

highly effective manner. In the context of Morrisons, it is quite crucial that the top-level
leadership is able to take the appropriate initiative which will be helpful in ensuring that
the changes are implemented appropriately as per the needs and requirements of the
dynamic business environment. I think that it is crucial for the leaders at the top-level that
they are able to take the initiative for implementing change which will make others in the
organization to follow them.
Leadership by example- In the organizations, it is important that the top-level leaders
are able to set an example for the others to follow which in turn is helpful in ensuring that
the development of the other people is carried out in a highly effective manner within the
organization (Demirtas and et.al., 2017). Morrisons has good leaders at the top-level who
are able to set a right example for others to follow which in turn is helpful in ensuring
that the leaders are able to manage out their needs and requirements appropriately.
Value awareness- In the firms, it is important that the value awareness is created by the
top-level leaders so that they are able to ensure that they can make the people who are
working within the organization aware about the value addition which is required to be
made in order to make the business successful in the future. In the context of Morrisons,
it is very important that the leaders and managers are able to focus on it which will help
in ensuring that the attainment of the future goals and objectives can be done in an
appropriate manner. I think that this will be helpful in ensuring that the value addition can
be made within the company so that the goals and objectives in the future can be attained.
No tolerance for ethical violations- In the organizations, it is important that the ethical
violations are avoided (Engelbrecht, Mahembe and Wolmarans, 2017). However, if there
are still ethical violations then the management is required to display No tolerance
towards these violations and thus make sure that the appropriate decisions are taken
which will lead towards ensuring that the ethical code of conduct can be followed in the
firm.
Therefore, in this way it can be said that through the display of these characteristics the
leaders in the organizations can make sure that they are able to display creative and
ethical leadership. I think that the leaders at the top-level are required making sure that
they have these characteristics which can be helpful in ensuring that the ethical standards
can be maintained in a highly effective manner in the firms. Therefore, In Morrisons the
leaders at the top are required to make sure that they display these characteristics in
ensuring that they are able to attain the goals and objectives in the future.
Application of a systematic approach to Research Methodology and Demonstration
of advanced information skills
It is important that the use of Research Methodology can be made so that the appropriate
research can be carried out in a right way on a given research topic which will be quite useful for
the organizations in the future. Further, it becomes crucial that the demonstration of advanced

information skills can be done which will help in ensuring that the transmission of the
information is done appropriately.
The explanation of systematic approach to Research Methodology and Demonstration of
advanced information skills can be made in the following manner-
Identification of Research Topic- It is important that the identification of a Research
topic is done so that the Research Methodology can be used accordingly for deriving out the
conclusions and recommendations which are appropriate (Huang and Paterson, 2017). Thus,
while working in Morrisons we were required to conduct a Research on Creative and Ethical
Leadership Skills. This was important to ensure that the identification of the way in which the
use of these leadership skills can be made so that the conclusions and recommendations can be
drawn. We have selected this research topic by consulting mutually and therefore I hope that this
topic will be helpful for us in successfully conducting our research.
Setting up Aim and Objectives of Research- It is crucial that the Aim and Objectives of
Research can be set up which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the use of appropriate
methods and techniques can be made so that the attainment of Aim and Objectives can be made
in a proper manner effectively and efficiently (Li and et.al., 2017). Thus, In this way it can be
said that for the management of Morrisons it is absolutely essential the Aim and Objectives of
Research can be set up which can therefore help a lot in ensuring that the research can be
conducted on Creative and Ethical Leadership skills. I think that by setting up aim and objectives
we will be able to manage out the research requirements in a highly effective manner without
facing problems and issues.
Setting up a procedure of using Research Methodology- It is important that a
procedure for using Research Methodology is made which will be helpful in carrying out the
research properly. In Morrisons, this will be important for us because through it we will be able
to set up a plan through which the right use of Research Methodology is required to be made
effectively and efficiently.
Making the use of a right method- It is also important that the use of a right method can
be made out so that the research is conducted appropriately as required. Therefore, the use of a
method like Questionnaire is recommended which will be helpful in ensuring that the attainment
of the goals and objectives can be done in a right manner effectively and efficiently. This will
help in deriving out the conclusions and recommendations which are essential for conducting
this research. I think that the use of a right method is required to be made by me which will be
helpful in ensuring that the data, facts and information is used properly.
Analysis and Interpretation- It is crucial that the analysis and interpretation is carried
out appropriately through the data, facts and information which have been derived through the
use of Questionnaire. Therefore, this will be quite helpful in ensuring that the analysis and

interpretation is done properly in a correct manner. Therefore, I think that we have to do this so
that we are able to successfully complete this research project.
Also, it is very important that the demonstration of the advanced information skills can be
made so that a proper use of the information can be made effectively and efficiently. Thus, in
this way it can be said that the application of these skills can be done in the following manner-
Analysis of the organization- Before carrying out a research, it is important that the
analysis of the organization is required to be carried out and thus this helps a lot in ensuring that
the knowledge about the organization can be obtained which can be quite useful in conducting
the research successfully (Sağnak, 2017). Therefore, the analysis of Morrisons is very essential
because it will be helpful in leading towards the attainment of the goals and objectives which are
related with the company and thus deriving out the conclusions and recommendations in a proper
manner.
Analysis of the data, facts and information- For carrying out a research, it is important
that the analysis of the data, facts and information is done (Tu and et.al., 2019). In Morrisons, we
have been given a research project to conduct and for that we require that the analysis of the
data, facts and information is made so that the overall level of efficiency and effectiveness can be
enhanced in a proper manner. For this purpose, it is quite essential that the data, facts and
information can be used appropriately.
Working on the Analysis and Interpretation- For the purpose of carrying out a
research, it becomes necessary that the Analysis and Interpretation can be done correctly. This
will be quite helpful in Morrisons because through this way, the analysis and interpretation can
be done properly which will thus be helpful in ensuring the attainment of the goals and
objectives in the future effectively and efficiently in a proper manner.
Filtering out of data, facts and information- Conducting a research requires that the
data, facts and information can be filtered out which will be helpful for the purpose of
identifying the data, facts and information which can be useful effectively and efficiently
(Walumbwa, Hartnell and Misati, 2017). As we have been provided a group project to work on
in Morrisons, it is necessary for us to identify the data, facts and information which are not
useful and thus make sure that their use is not made in the process of deriving of conclusions and
recommendations for the future.
Segmentation of the data, facts and information- It is important that the segmentation
of the data, facts and information is carried out within the organizations so that the segmented
data can be used appropriately so that the attainment of the overall goals and objectives in the
future can be done effectively and efficiently. In Morrisons, as we have been given a research
project to work on it is important that we are able to carry out this segmentation so that the use of
data, facts and information can be made properly which will be helpful in the deriving of the
appropriate results quite effectively and efficiently.

the information can be managed appropriately. Thus, At Morrisons it is important for us to
ensure that we can identify these sources in an appropriate manner which will be helpful in
attainment of the goals and objectives in the future. Thus, in this way an appropriate use of the
data can be made effectively and efficiently in a proper manner in the organizations.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that Creative & Ethical Leadership refers to
the skills and abilities in the leaders through which they are able to ensure that the monitoring of
the way in which the policies can be applied can be done. Thus, the use of appropriate methods
and techniques can be made so that the top-level leaders are able to develop these skills which
will be highly helpful for the display of leadership skills at the right time. It is important that the
creative and ethical leadership skills are evaluated so that they can be used in a proper manner. It
is also necessary that the application of a proper approach can be done so that the use of research
methodology and demonstration of advanced information skills can be made effectively and
efficiently so that the attainment of the overall goals and objectives can be done in the future.
