Personal traits are characteristics that a human being possesses and may be achieved through
learning or by birth. Human beings have different traits and this makes behave differently.
The importance of self-analysis is that it gives an in-depth analysis of parameters and
characteristics that affect our day-to-day behavior (Bharathi, 2016). One can easily
understand the behavior of an individual by simply going through the analysis.
Weaknesses
According to the studies depicted in the story about the summary of feedbacks, there are a
number of weaknesses that can be derived. However, it is also important to also note that
there are remarkable strengths according to my philosophy teacher. Firstly, Yasmin noted that
my biggest problem is being disorganized, it is noted most of the time I do not follow the laid

down schedule and this makes me fail to meet targets as put down in a program. The whole
problem arises as a result of poor planning (Andrews & Russell, 2012). Consequently, my
projects are always dragging due to lateness and inadequate planning for the project.
An observation by my mother is almost the same to Yasmin’s but it reveals the causes of
poor planning and weakness. She clarifies that stress plays an important role in making me be
a poor planner. She connects this with the fact that is always anxious especially once I am
late with a project. However, she appreciated the fact that if I may plan and schedule all the
work that is ahead of me, then I would be more productive.
All the observations made by different individuals about my character traits are revolving
around three main things, for instance, they observed that I was careless and disorganized
thereby making me lose focus and constantly becoming late with projects. It is also important
to note that there is a room for improvement as hinted by my mother and because she knows
and understands me better than any other person. She, therefore, underscores that since it was
my first year in college, I must have gotten it slightly hard to cope with everything. However,
she maintains that as time goes and I make adjustments on my traits, it would be possible to
optimize my time management ability that will enable me to accomplish my projects in time.
The following are brief highlights of my strengths as depicted in the case study:
Good sense of analysis
As put by my philosophy teacher, I am equipped with a great sense of analysis. It is here
explained that I have the ability to properly analyzing issues and coming up with solutions
that can be used to enhance character traits.

Apart from having a good sense of analysis, I am blessed with a character that enables me to
participate in tasks swiftly enough. This enables me to have adequate time to deal with
problems and to adequately, engage in activities that tendered to achieving the desired goals
and objectives.
High concentration
One of my traits that have been praised by my mum is the ability to concentrate if proper
planning is done for the project that is ahead of me. It is important to note here that my
concentration depends on whether I have developed enough interest on the issue. My mother
depicts that as time goes, I would be able to mature up and engage on important issues.
Team player
I am a wonderful team player in the sense that I am able to organize teams and bring them
together so that the desired goal is achieved collaboratively. This one aspect of my traits
enables me to mingle easily with my peers and colleagues. It is through this that my strong
foundation of being a good leader lies. If not satisfactory, I would be in attempts to ensure
that I become the best team leader. However, I have to admit that it was not so simple to
attain this. It is something that I have learned from different people. For instance, in most
organizations, teamwork is an important aspect and all employees are required to meet this
standard. I have to copy it from friends, mother, and father.
Negotiator
This is one of the character traits that were in the course of attaining; it will help me greatly
in dealing with several issues that require negotiation or where we need to through factual
issues in order to arrive at a common ground (Potters, 2002). Through my training, I would

be able to get the good ideas to become a good negotiator. In addition, I would be ready to
learn from friends the basics that are needed to become one and use my trainers as role
models on the same. At the same time, I may not fail to copy my mother as one whom I have
known as a great negotiator. Therefore, her input towards nurturing my talent would be of
great importance to me.
Problem-solving
I am occasionally boasting of this trait since it is one that I realized early enough that I
possess. However, I have to say that sometimes problems are hard to synthesize to finally
arrive at a proper solution. It is, therefore, necessary to keep learning better methods of
handling difficult issues in order to manage unnecessary stress. A researcher once noted that
learning never ends, therefore, through learning from my peers, colleagues, teachers, and
parents, I would be able to invent if not accurate, better ways of solving problems and
minimizing stress (Panagiotakopoulos, 2012).
