MEMO
To: Mr. Maximillian Barney
From: Name of the Student
Date: 24.09.2018
Subject: Employee Recruitment
Hi sir! My name is (Name of the Student). I am writing this memo in order to promote myself
as a candidate for the post of Sales Director in the Biotech’s Asia division. As you know it
that the job of the sales director requires an individual to be significantly good at man
management as the concerned individual will be subjected to lead a group of sales people and
effective communication and the sense of culture along with the proper knowledge of ethics
will be significantly important for the individual in managing his or her team (Turkulainen et
al., 2013). The individual assessment of mine from the cultural intelligence test,
communication skills test and the ethics test specifies that I have sufficient skills and qualities
in managing the team and the communication, sense of culture and the ethics is not an issue
which will pose significant obstacles in my job.
The communication skills test results specifies I scored 76% ("Free Online
Communication Skills Test Questions", 2018). The test results according to the guideline of
the grades states that I am a person who allows others to speak and at the same time I
concentrate on what others had to say about any topic. Along with that I do speak where I
feel I must and in doing so I significantly follow the body language of the listener and that
helps me to understand whether my communication is effective for the listener or not.

3SELF ASSESSMENT TESTS
The cultural intelligence test specify that I score high value in it as well. The
assessment of the test results state that I do not have any sort of issue in learning or listening
from the individuals of different cultures and I am significantly open minded to the
statements of them (Purpose, 2018). Along with this I do consider that cultural shock should
not be in my team as that will effectively decrease the efficiency of the team.
The ethics test notifies that I score 92% ("The Ultimate Ethics Quiz", 2018). The test
result specifies that I do follow ethical approach in order to conduct my operations and I do
consider that it will help me to manage the team with the certain level of comfort and I will
be able to think equally for everyone.
The leadership style quiz results for me is Idealist and the remark on my result is
given the appendix section.
The leadership skills test results in my case is 70 which is the sum of Character (8),
Vision (7), Strategy (7), Focus (8), Persuasiveness (8), Likeability (7), Decisioning Ability
(8), Team Building (9), Results (8) and the grade is C.
On a concluding note it can be stated that I do have majority of the personal skills that
I require to manage the post and apart from the personal skills, I do have a professional
experience as sales person for 7 years and 2 years of experience in managing the post of sales
director. Hence I request your consideration in this case.

Result: Idealists
Idealists are high-energy achievers who believe in the positive potential of everyone around
them. They want to learn and grow, and they want everyone else to do the same. They’re
often charismatic and draw others to them with their intuition and idealism. They’re open-
minded and prize creativity from themselves and others. Working for Idealists offers the
chance to be creative and express oneself. It offers the chance to have an equal voice and
learn by doing. Working for the Idealist often provides a very democratic experience. There
isn’t as much process and structure as with some other leaders (like Stewards) and that can be
a plus or minus depending on the employee. Idealists can often be found doing creative work,
brainstorming around a table with like-minded individuals. For the appropriate people, it’s a
