Overview of the leadership weakness
The past experiences of mine and also the analysis of my own leadership skills in this
assignment clearly indicates that one of the weaknesses of my leadership skill is my lack of
use of the use of the machinery of creativity. The effective use of this particular concept is
likely to help me in a significant manner to complete the same kind of tasks in a much more
effective manner and will at the same time also enable me to lead the different members of
my team in a much more effective manner. Thus, it can be said that the acquisition of this
particular skill is important not only from the perspective of the process of my personal
development but at the same time from the perspective of the development of my leadership
abilities.
SMART Goals
Specific
For the effective development of my creative abilities I would like to develop the skill
of expressing my thoughts or emotions in a creative manner. For the achievement of this
particular goal I would indulge in the activity of writing the morning paper every single day
of the week. In morning paper I would try to give vent to my thoughts and feeling in a
creative manner and at the same time would also learn to articulate my thoughts in a much
more persuasive manner.
Measurable
I would like to say that creativity is an intangible quantity and cannot be quantified or
measured like the other tangible entities. Thus, I would have to get the morning papers which
I written checked by my professors or others in order to check the progress that I am making
in the process of expression of my thoughts in a creative manner. In addition to these, I also

intend to participate in the various creative writing competitions and the results of these
competitions would give me a clear idea regarding the fact whether or not I am making any
improvement.
Attainable
The goal which I have set out to achieve is a completely achievable one although the
acquisition of this particular skill is likely to take extra amount of effort as well as dedication
from my end since I will have to read various kinds of literary works to learn in an effective
manner the art of creative expression of thought.
Relevancy
The goal which I have set out to attain is a completely relevant one since it fits in the
context of the acquisition of the skill of creativity in the domain of leadership. This is
important because of the fact that this would enable me to convey my thoughts and also the
instructions to the different members of my team in a much effective manner. At the same
time this would enable to connect in a much more effective manner with the different
members of my team and thereby establish effective relationships with the different members
of team.
Time Bound
I have given myself a time frame of three months for the effective acquisition of the
skill of creative expression of thoughts as well as feelings in an effective manner.
