INTRODUCTION
Leadership is a process of influencing other decision with aim of getting the work done. It
is process of guiding and directing the employees at workplace so that work is done in proper
manner (Sudha, 2016). At workplace, it is essential to have leaders because they are one who
motivate employees so that assigned tasks are completed within period of time. In this competitive
era, it is important to focus on concept because it help in making decisions so that goals are
accomplished effectively. This report focuses on overview of leadership, traits of leadership role,
leadership style and challenges & benefits of adopted style in work groups.
MAIN BODY
Overview of leadership style
A leader has many style which is used for getting work done and with appropriate way. It
is important to be aware about these style so that work is done accordingly. So, style which was
adopted by me is achievement-oriented style. It is an most effective one in which every team
member point of view is considered & they accepts risks & make every decision independently.
Main rationale for choosing of this style was that members were able to understand each other mind
& perception which assist in developing mutual relationship with each other. Further, difficult
situations are handled by them effectively. Moreover, it is also stated that correct level of
understanding is being developed within a team which is beneficial for carrying out work without
facing any issue or problems. This style was used at workplace& it was easy to make decisions
regarding the work. This too depicts the capability of employee to accept new challenges & changes
in organisation which leads to achieving of objectives (Sriyakul, 2019). Further, it is essential to
apply this style in such a way that unity is maintained in between a team members. So, it is
evaluated that it being considered as one of the best & appropriate form of leadership style.
Traits for leadership role
Leadership is wider concept which required deep level of knowledge & skills. They play
different role in organisation according to which they are able to carry out their all activities. A
leader has different traits according to which style is adopted by them. So, trait which is best suites
for leadership role is openness. This is because by focusing on this trait it is easy to deal with
critical situations in correct way. Also, by improving this trait will help in eliminating issues in
future context.
Positive & openness are traits that enhances the enthusiasm level at higher scale which is
beneficial for growth & development. So, it is crucial to focus on this trait so that role of leader is
carried out effectively. Being open help in improving the effectiveness of work in correct way.

Thus, it is crucial to be positive so that situations are handled in most efficient way. The role of
leader is necessary to focused so that every everything is done properly.
Traits hinder leadership role
The traits of leadership have both positive & negative impact depending upon their way of
managing and using style. As leaders have many role & traits they get affected by them at deeper
scale. These traits act as obstacles between their work & role. Thus, it is crucial to be aware about
them. So, perfectionism is a trait which can hinder leader's role at deeper scale. This is because it
impact upon their attitude & behaviour at wider scale. Being perfectionists leads to doing
everything is systematic and detailed way which is time consuming & also creates issue in between
team members & directly affects the work (Foster, 2017).
Thus, it is needed to be aware about this one because it is not compulsory if leader is perfect
than members will be also perfect. So, it is examined that traits are needed to be adopted or used
with most efficient way. Perfectionism makes leader behaviour arrogant & it become difficult for
them to cope up or work with others in effective manner. Therefore, it have directly negative effect
on role, work, & other aspects of personality. So, it is needed to be avoided so that optimistic
within work group is managed.
Challenge & leadership style used to solve issue
In leadership and managing subordinates, main and potential challenge which occur is to
assign role & responsibilities to group members according to their skills/ capabilities. This
challenge is difficult because it is not easy to assign role to individual according to their knowledge
because adjustment has to done to complete work. Arises of this challenge leads to time consuming
in making decisions within a firm (Virkkunen, 2018).
So, to solve the issue style which is used is achievement oriented leadership style. Rationale
for choosing this style is that by using it difficult tasks are being assigned to individual or team
members. It motivates them to accept risk & work as they get reward when achievement is achieved
by them. It also leads to increase of high morale & increase work motivation. It is external
motivation style but is effective to get done work in efficient way.
Challenge or benefits of leadership style
Challenge used in this achievement oriented leadership style is that it is not easy to to assign
every employee difficult tasks because resist can be made by them. This resist of doing work by
employees leads to distorted of work. Further, maion benefit of using this style are mentioned
below-

Completion of work- Main benefit of this style is that it help in getting work done in
most efficient way because critical tasks or work are completed first by employees with
purpose of getting rewards (Mwaisaka, 2020).
Enhances skills of employees- Then further benefit is that it improves the & enhance skill
& capabilities of members which assist them in dealing with risk or uncertainties. This too
improves their ability to deal with difficult situations in most efficient way.
Motivation- By use of this style, members are aware about their weak & strong areas. This
is helpful in using knowledge in work group accordingly. It encourages to face risk &
increase their level of growth & development at higher scale.
The above discussed benefit shows that adopted leadership style is beneficial which is
needed to be used because it is helpful for both leader & members. Moreover, challenges has been
explained which occur while using style in work group (Shageeva, 2017).

CONCLUSION
After a brief analysis of above report, it is stated that it is important to be aware about
leader's style so that everything is carried out efficiently. So, in this report discussions have been
made about leader's traits, leadership style, challenges & style used to solve issues. Thus, it is
examined that it is crucial for a leader to use styles with proper analysis so that team members are
able to work in correct way. It is difficult to choose style because situations are heterogeneous in
nature & single style cannot be used for each situations. Therefore, when selecting style
appropriate decisions are needed to be made for achieving better results or outcomes.
