INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be state as ability of an individual for leading group of people in order to
achieve the desire objective. The present report is based on the types of leadership styles that
help in identifying the characteristics of an individual while directing, guiding and managing the
group of people. Moreover, great leaders help in inspiring political moment that will contribute
in building social change. Lastly, the report will throw light on the democratic style of leadership
and its weakness and strength.
MAIN BODY
Discussing democratic style
Through the assessment I have experienced that democratic leadership style is very
famous s approach that is used in every industry for smooth functioning. This type of style
allows the subordinates to work more freely and also motivate them to participate in the group
work as well as in decision-making. Moreover, I have learned that in this style everyone is given
an opportunity to exchange their innovative ideas so that it can contribute in solve the issues
faced by the organization effectively (Al Khajeh, 2018). Along, with this I have also experienced
that leader delegate their task to their subordinates according to their skill so that it can
efficiently achieve their objectives. The leader checks their work and provide them with the
guidance so that they do not forget their path along with this it also controls their behaviour that
can lead in creating hinderer for the group.
Moreover, I have also analysis of the strength and weakness of this approach such as it
helps the leader to build its overall personality. Such as it helps in building the situational
awareness that can be defined as the ability of the individual in making the plan for the future
while being aware of the present time and situation. This ability will help in identifying the
conflicts and the problems occurring in the workplace that will result in addressing the issues
more appropriately. Moreover, it helps in building the effective communication skills that
contributes in delegating the task to the subordinate as well as helps in improving the
management within the company (Democratic style of leadership., 2021).Along with this, it also
helps in building soft skills and public speaking that result in sharpening interpersonal skills.
Beside this it also helps in improving the collaboration skills that helps in creating the diverse
teams that benefit the organization in accomplishing the desire goals in the limited time of
frame. However, there are only few disadvantages of democratic leadership that can create

major problems if properly not used. The major issue is time management because every
individual has to contribute their ideas and thoughts in the group project and it requires time to
find the best idea for the company. That will lead in missing the deadlines of the task and delay
in finding proper solution for the company. Furthermore, the nature of this style is democratic
that means the leader has less control on the leadership that can create chaos within the
organization that will result in developing low faith in the leader (Caillier, 2020). It also helps
the individual in developing the effective decision-making skills that will lead in reducing the
chaos within the organization.
Along, with this there are some challenges that are associated with this style is
consensus that can be defined as an idea and opinion that group of people share. In addition to
this, the process of decision-making is very slow because of more member are involved in it
that result in delay in the meeting the deadline of the project. The second challenge that
democratic style face is Pseudo- participation that can be described as method that management
use to create the open environment within the organization but retain the decision-making in
their own hands by following the autocratic style (Challenges of democratic style.,2021). Thus,
it will result in increasing the dissatisfaction within the employee that will result inn high rate of
employee turnover. Hence, it will result in poor performance of the organization. Overcoming
this challenges will allow the firm to have full advantage to the management such as higher
retention rate and employee satisfaction.
Despite challenges and weakness democratic style help individual in developing
interpersonal skills likewise communication and critical thinking that contributions in overall
personality development. Along, with this it also helps in creating a healthy environment at
workplace that motivates employees to work hard.
CONCLUSION
From, the above report it can be concluded that democratic style is best for building the
strong relation with the employees. As it allow the every subordinate to participate in the team
work. Lastly, the study has summarized about its challenges and strengths.
