INTRODUCTION
Leadership could be considered as a research area along with practical skills that
encompasses ability of individuals, company along with groups for leading, influencing and
directing to other individuals. It is defined to a method by which an executive could be able to
direct, guide as well as influence behaviour and their work for achieving a particular objective of
companies. It is generally considered to be a potential of managers that could be able to induce
subordinates for working through zeal as well as confidence (Anastasiou and Garametsi, 2021).
This report is based on leadership report of Amazon which is an American multinational
technological company that focuses on e-commerce, digital streaming, artificial intelligence as
well as cloud computing services. Company is considered as one of big 5 companies in US
Information technology sector. It consists of evaluation of various statements that are provided
by leaders by application of different leadership styles and approaches which could be examined
in present corporate world with its justification followed by its conclusion.

doing the right things, the only safe ship in a storm is leadership and a diverse mix of voice leads
to you better discussions, decadence and outcomes for everyone could be evaluated by analysing
will leadership styles and approaches that could be used in today's global world for running
business practices effectively (Petridou and Zahariadis, 2021). In relation to Amazon in order to
evaluate this statement organisational culture as well as diversity policies are examined of
company by analysing its leadership style and approaches in a better manner. These models help
company in guiding well as directing decision making in company for accomplishment of their
desired objectives. Some of leadership styles are as follows:
Democratic leadership: This Style of leadership is very effective in which leader makes
decisions that are based on inputs of each team member. In this leadership style each
employee as well as worker performs its duty on their project direction. This leadership
style helps in resembling how diseases could be taken in company board meetings.

Autocratic leadership: In this style of leadership is generally opposite of democratic
leadership style where leader of company makes decisions without taking any input from
their staff members who reports to them. Employees and neither considered nor consulted
before making to a direction and they are expected two other two decision making at a
time through business leader.
Laissez faire leadership: This leadership style is said to be inverse of autocratic
leadership. In this decision making in companies is made by taking opinion of the staff
members as well as employees a company (Horner, 2021). It could lead to help in
empowering employees by trusting Their employees and workers to work according to
their needs in order to achieve their planned goals.
Transformational leadership style: In this leadership style leader is generally focused on
creating something new according to their skills and talent base so that they could lead
into market with their innovative products and services by making effective decisions that
are in benefit of company.
In relation to Amazon leader of company Jeff Bezos is using transformational leadership
style for transforming his company by using different innovative ways in terms of its searches.
As leader is known for its planning as well as delivering outcomes with its creative and
innovative skills. With this analysis of leadership style it could be evaluated that “Management
is doing the things right but leadership is only the process that makes business practices to
do things correct”. It has explained that management is a way which is used and implemented
by company for performing things in an accurate manner for accomplishment of their specific
goals. Leadership is only the component that makes a focus on performing right things by using
effective innovative and influencing skills in order to achieve a particular goal.
There are different leadership approaches that could be used by companies in order to have
effective organisation culture and its diversity policies for influencing behaviour and culture of
employees that are working in their workplace. In today's corporate world HR professionals as
well as executive are fulfilled with leadership development which is a major human capital issue
and they recognise that developing leaders in company is a critical to business success. And it
shows that leadership is only the way where companies could perform their business practices in
an effective way so that they could be able to accomplish their desired goal within a specified

This approach is very visionary that leads in inspiring other individuals and encouraging
their critical thinking for carrying innovative practices.
Participatory leadership: This approach of leadership deals in leaders who basically
employees hands on style by seeking to bring more democratic dimension to their
management instead of utilising them in a traditional top down approach. This approach
recognises that employees as well as staff members are stakeholders in company and they
are basically entitled to their own voice. It helps in empowering employees who will be
most affected by their certain making of decision for participation and decision-making
potential in resolving any issue.
Value based leadership: This style of leadership approach leads in guiding their team by
encouraging them with other for enacting them in accordance with companies shared core
value. Rather than focusing on exclusively on matrix value-based leadership approach
lead in driving positive change by creating and emphasize on mission as well as objective
of company (Robinson Jr, 2021). This approach of leadership is driven by therefore
values that are modelled and aligned with company values.

Situational leadership: This approach of leadership is for leaders for matching their
behaviour according to their performance requirement of those employees they are
working for influencing them in company. This approach leads in adapting leader
behaviour that are based on their diagnosis and evaluation.
In relation to Amazon leader of company is using transformational leadership approach by
carrying out creative and innovative practices by enhancing moral and job performance of their
employees (Smeby, 2021). They are constantly focused on improving motivation level of their
employees and staff members so that their morale and job performance could be improved.
Leader of company is focused in connecting with its employees and staff members with a sense
of identity and making collective actions for making any decision that could lead to its critical
thinking skills for having any innovation in business practice.

innovative as well as toxic culture could be examined well for resolving any issue.
Strong vision: Effective leadership leads to create a foundation of company in having

members to work as a team for meeting up organisation goals by using different
strategies.

employees in terms of performing their work with the effectiveness by increasing their
quality of work. Leader of Amazon is focused on improving their employee’s skills by
providing them training according to their needs so that they could be able to give a
quality work with effective work environment by using various company policies and

Improved morale: By implementing leadership in organisation culture and diversity
management helps in increasing employee morale in terms of following different policies
and developing a culture of encouragement so that they could be able to give their best
performance with use of effective guidance that are provided by their team leader.

component which is needed by companies in order to perform their business practices effectively
