Topic 2
"What makes a good leader in business based on the evidence."
This article helps to focus on the importance of authentic, ethical and servant leadership based on
behaviour, attitude, and relational perceptions of the leaders with employees of the organisation.
All three leadership styles provide different standards for measurements of the effectiveness of
the leaders of the company. On the basis of the outcomes of a survey conducted for this article
helps to understand that the servant leadership style is one of the most approachable leadership
styles among all the leadership styles as well.
According to Hoch, J. E. et al. (2016) Servant leadership is the only emerging form which seems
to support construct nonredundancy. It helps to understand that the transformational leadership
style has some limitations. For a good leader, it is required that the leaders will be able to accept
the limitations of transformational leadership styles. Servant leadership should be considered as
a higher degree of conceptual and empirical distinctness from transformational leadership.
The results have been based on the employee attitude, behaviours and perception for all three
leadership styles. Besides servant style, using both methods could be problematic because it will
not be helpful to maintain a healthy relationship with employees.
