INTRODUCTION
Leader is the person who motivates people for better vision. The success and growth of
an organisation is depending on the leadership (Daniëls, Hondeghem and Dochy, 2019).
Managers are found to be administers but leaders are found to be innovates. Leaders are the
important person in the organisations as they are the reason of achieving goals and objectives.
This report aims to apply various leadership styles in today's corporate world. This report will be
discussing organisational culture and diversity.

Leadership styles and approaches in today's corporate world
It is identified in the current business environment that leadership is the important
element for the success and growth of an organisation (Crosby and Bryson, 2018). Without an
effective leadership styles, it is not possible for company to run a business in the real world. It is
also found that leadership has the capacity to transform the visions into reality. There are many
authors who gave their statements regarding to leadership. According to them, leaders are more
important than managers. This can be better understood with the help of below statements:
According to Warren Bennis, managers have less work than leaders. Leaders are the one
who has a long term perspectives and managers are the one who have a short term
perspectives. In addition to this, leaders are always ready to accept challenges. Whereas
managers accepting the status quo.
From the above statement, it is clear that leaders are very important or an organisation
and this is the reason that company is focusing on applying different leadership styles and
approaches in an efficient. This will assists in achievement of strategic objectives. There are
many leadership styles which uses by organisations in order to achieve the goals and objectives.
Some of them are mentioned below:
Coach-Style Leadership
This leadership styles is found to be most effective styles which used by organisations in
order to achieve the goals and objectives (Rudolph, Rauvola and Zacher, 2018). The leader in
this style focuses on identification and nurturing individual strengths of each team members. In

addition to this, it also concerned with strategies which helps to work together. According to the
Warren Bennis, leaders are the person who focusing on what and why in the organisational
activities. In addition to this, he is also stated that a leader is the one keep his eye on horizon
rather on bottom line. That means they are always wants to increase the strengths of each and
every individual so that they are able to gain competitive advantage in the market. This statement
applies in this leadership style as it focuses on nurturing and identification of individual's
strengths so that they are able to achieve the targets of company.
Transformational leadership style
It is identified in the organisation that each and every employee has always certain set
goals and objective which they need to achieve on the regular basis. But leader is the one who is
always focusing on future vision. It is found that employees get push from leaders in this
leadership styles (Al Saidi and et.al., 2020). The leaders always motivate their employees that
they should come out of the box so that they are able to generate value for organisation.
According to Warren Bennis, a leader is the one who always ready for challenges. In this
leadership style, it is found that leader is the one who motivate people to come from their
comfort zone and do something challenging. In addition to this, it is also found this leadership
style is also emphasizing on development of vision and takes actions in order to achieve that
vision. According to Howard Schultz who is the CEO of Starbucks, it is necessary to develop
vision and make them into reality. He also stated that good treatment with employees should not
be add in the costs as leaders are the person who is responsible for the achievement of goals and
objectives.
Democratic leadership style
It is found to be the most common leadership style which is focusing on inclusion of
every employee in the decision making process. This is very important for the organisations that
they should include all the individuals so that employees feel good. According to Andres Tapia,
diversity is defined as the mix and one the other hand, inclusion is refers to making the mix
work. This is necessary to understand by organisation that inclusion should be present in their
business activities as it helps to achieve the sustainable growth. This is the reason that companies
need to use this leadership style where each and every member has an opportunity to take right
decisions.

Analysing organisational culture and diversity policies
Organisational culture and diversity are playing an important role in the leadership style
of company (Boamah and et.al., 2018). This can be better understood with the help of example.
For example, Tesco is the organisation where employees found diversity in their culture. The
reason behind i.e. Tesco is the large organisation which runs their operations in many countries
and they are not focusing on only one culture as they understand the importance of workplace
diversity. It is not possible for them to work according to their home's country culture as every
nation has own culture which can be create issues in the organisation. So that's why they are
focusing on management of workplace diversity and make their culture accordingly in which
very employee is able to accept different culture's people and get ready to work with them. It is
found that organisation culture of Tesco is very unique as they are adopted team oriented culture
in which leader is focusing on fostering personal growth, innovation and empowerment of
employees (Company Culture). According to Tesco, they are welcoming each and every
opportunity to grow. In addition to this, it is also identified that company is also focusing on
inclusive culture and fostering diversity in their culture as they understand the need of business
environment.
From the analysis of organisational culture and diversity policies of Tesco, it is found that
leadership is playing an important role as without effective leadership styles; it is not possible for
organisation to achieve the strategic objectives. In addition to this, leadership should have a
potential to transform the vision into reality. This is necessary to understand by organisation that
leadership style choice should be according to situation demand (Xie and et.al., 2018). It is not
possible that each and every situation will be similar so company needs to adopt only in
leadership style. For that purpose, they need to understand that what situation demands. For
example, for the purpose of diverse and inclusive culture, Tesco needs to use democratic
leadership style which is focusing on inclusion of all employees in the business related decision.
With the help of this leadership style, Tesco is able to motivate the employees to work with
collaboration so that they are able to achieve the goals and objectives. It is found that Tesco is
the organisation which is mainly focusing on satisfaction of customers and this also needs
customer engagement. It is very important for the organisation to use democratic style so that

they are able to engage more and more customers with their organisation. This will leads to
increase the customer base which results in high profits and revenues.
CONCLUSION
From the discussion of leadership, it can be concluded that company needs to take focus
on effective leadership style so that they are able to achieve the organisational goals and
objectives. This is necessary to understand that leadership style should be choosing on the basis
of situations. It is found that a company should use different leadership styles which help them to
achieve the goals and objectives. This report also analysed organisational culture and diversity
should be considered in the leadership style so that leaders are able to transform the vision into
reality.
RECOMMENDATIONS
There are following recommendations mentioned below that helps a company to improve
their leadership style which assists in achieving the goals and objectives:
It is identified that organisation needs to understand the importance of inclusive practice
as then only they are able to work with mix then only company is able to decide the
leadership style.
It is suggested to organisation that they should focus on good leaders as they are the only
person who achieve the goals and objectives.
