INTRODUCTION
Leadership style is the method used by leader to influence its team, motivating and
implementing plans on people. There are various leadership style that are used by leaders in the
business environment(Jones II, 2020). This report covers comparison of leadership styles and
approaches, impact of these styles on organisational cultural.
MAINBODY
Strategic leadership styles and approaches
Leadership styles and approaches are different in every organisation. As there are various
leadership styles which are used in the business environment. These starts from Autocratic style
to laissez faire style. These are discussed below:
Autocratic style: This is the first leadership style, in this leader believes that they are the
smartest persona and take decisions by their own. They do not consult anything from the
teammates. This style is suitable for certain situations like if there are new team
members or leader is inexperienced. This style is used in UK company called Sainsbury
plc.
Authoritative style: In this style, leaders are confidence and they make decisions by
setting expectation and map on the way. They take time to make decisions and explain
their thinking.
Pacesetting style: In this style, leaders push their team members to work hard and
achieve their goal in the organisation.
Democratic style: Leaders share information with the team members and takes opinions
of employees while coming to the final decision.
Coaching Style: In this leaders use coaching to give training to the employees. Leaders
helps employees in giving direction towards the achievement of goal(Mao and et.al.,
2020).
Affiliative style: In this leaders make personal connection with the employees and
listens to their ideas. Leaders supports emotional meeds of team members.

working hard for the organisation. And last Laissez faire style provides opportunities to the team
members and providing them direction. This all strategies required experienced leaders and also
they take regular feedbacks of the employees to evaluate their performance. This creates a
healthy environment in the organisation.
