Marketing strategy is a action plan to run the organisation in a systematic manner to

understand the below mentioned areas for the productivity and profitability of the company
(Shemla and et. al., 2020). Competitive advantage: The competitive advantage is the privilege that the organisation
has over the rival companies of the same industry which allows the company to have
better product and profit margin than the rival company (Buulolo Ratnasari and Nasrul,
2020). Sainsbury operate in the market of UK with the various competitor's. The fair
trade is the biggest competitive advantage that Sainsbury holds in the market of UK. It is

organisation sell their products to the potential customers (Vaughn, Sugerman and

fulfilling their needs and wants. To do this the organisation plan various activities and
strategies to capture the largest market share s well as the lifelong existence with
profitability. Sainsbury's always use the marketing techniques, promotional methods and
advertising channels to make their product familiar to the customers thereby ensuring
their existence in market vis the sales of their product. The target market of the
Sainsbury's in its retail segment of grocery are females and families. The company has

maintain its existence.
IMPACT ANALYSIS
The leaders and their leadership style has a great impact on the employees of the
organisation. The efficient and good leadership always helps the organisation in motivating their
employees which in turn supports the companies employment turnover ratio. The impact of good
leadership always foster the skills of the employees and their loyalty towards the company
whereas the bad leadership results in conflicts and low productivity (Sosik, Chun and Ete, 2020).
Therefore it is essential for the organisation to look at their leadership qualities in order to
enhance the employability in the workplace. Employees are always looking forward to their
leader in order to achieve more success and growth therefore it very important that the leaders
action are fair and ethical to motivate their employees. The leaders of the Sainsbury's feels that
for the better performance of the employee it is very important to identify and implement best
leadership style. It is analysed that in Sainsbury's the leaders follow the democratic leadership
style which is highly centralized for the growth and development of the employees. Sainsbury's
believe in satisfying their employees for the better management and effective decision making.
The democratic leadership of the Sainsbury's is useful for the organisation in involving their

employee in all the decision making which ultimately helps the company in highly motivating
the employees. It is analysed that the company also acquire autocratic leadership to complete
some of the daily routines in a efficient way. Employees aid in creating favourable and
comfortable environment within the enterprise which boost the morale to do the work
effectively. Also, it is power of employees to influence the consumers to buy the product because
it doesn't matter which business it is the views and opinions of employees are likely to make
some impact on the consumers. Therefore it is important that organisation always maintain a
good leadership style by picking the perfect and suitable leadership style for their employees to
develop their skills and to polish their work with politeness by providing them with better
direction for their task (Mukonza and Swarts, 2020). Hence, a leadership should always have
positive impact on the employees to amend their performance.
CONSTRAINTS
Arranging of finance- Finance is the blood of any business and to start any business finance is
required. The requirement of money is required on the basis of type of business that the owner
wants to start which can be of wholesale, retail, production or anything There are many areas by
which small business can acquire the money which can be either taking bank loan,
crowdfunding, venture capital and many more. These sources of finance can help the business in
arranging the finance which helps the owner to operate their activities effectively. These finance
will also help the business to achieve their short term and long term goals (Igalla, Edelenbos and
van Meerkerk, 2020).
Finding a location- Business location mean that area where it will be easy for the
business to carry their operations and for the consumer to receive products and services easily.
But to find the perfect location is always a hurdle for the business because ultimately they have
to make sacrifice in one or the other thing (Karatepe and et. al., 2006). Business wants that
location where the transportation cost is low to purchase and deliver the raw material, also for
delivering the product to consumers. Not just this the business also wants that area where they
can create monopoly of the product which means no other competitor selling the similar product.
But such places are difficult to found to carry the activities.
Government approval- Sometimes it is difficult for the business to start their own
business as government does not approve it or sometimes businesses have to follow some long
procedure to conduct their operations. Many economists have also said in their interviews that

government regulations create hurdles for the small business (Kusnadi, Yulianti and Purnomo,
2020). Government approves the business only when they know that business is carrying its
operations within the rules and regulations otherwise it would not be easy for the business to get
the government permission.
Resistance from local business- When any business has to establish its operations in the
market they have to face some resistance from the local business. This constraint is caused
because they know that establishment of new business will diversify their consumers and when
consumers will be distributed it can decline their sales (Braganza and et. al., 2020). Also the
existing business have already set up their market and when new business arrive it will lead to
increase in competition. Local businesses have already created their monopoly and when
suddenly some new business comes it creates difficulty.
Resistance from local people- Local people resists for any new business to set up in the
market because it creates confusion in their mind as to which product will be better for them .
Not just this, some consumers produce products which are of low price and when any new
business establishes their operations and too of high price then local people usually don't accept
it. The products which are offered by the new business does not match with the lifestyle of
individuals which is also the reason of resistance.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSION
Recommendations
After analysis the above impact of leadership in the business like Sainsbury's it is highly
recommended that the organisation can only run smoothly and purposefully with the appropriate
implementation of leadership styles and skills. The leaders are recommended to sharpen their
leadership qualities and skills regularly with the evolving business environment. It is also
suggested that the employees must also be involved in the decision making process to improve
their leadership skills as well as make them responsible and reliable for future work. It is
recommended to Sainsbury's to adopt laissez faire leadership style in their organisation to make
employees more skilled and independent for their work. Because this leadership will bring the
employees more close towards the organisation and thereby lower the employment turnover
ratio. I also recommend that every organisation must adopt fair trade ethics like Sainsbury's to
gain the competitive advantage. It is advised that the organisation should always motivate and
Document Page
encourage the self esteem and self actualization of it employees by their leadership qualities to
foster the company's performance and productivity.
Conclusion
It is concluded from the above report that the organisation doesn't work with single
leadership style rather they adopt two or more leadership style together to accomplish different
tasks. The report conclude that the effective leadership with a good leader is only way to make a
business achieve its high desired profitability, performance and productivity. The leadership
creates the great impact on its employees performance and also brings the loyalty to the firm.
Hence, it is very important to have the appropriate leadership style to run and control the
employees and functions of the businesses.
