Examining the skills and knowledge used in the organization in order to manage the change
programmes
Development of new strategies within Small medium enterprises generally requires
proper analysis and planning. TWSU (Tech will save us) company is currently trying to
strengthen the business by changing the policies and procedures of the business. So these
changes will impact upon the operational activities of the TWSU (Mole, North and Baldock,
2017). In today's competitive world, the change has been more rapid or more constant in order
to enhance the overall productivity and profitability of the business. These change programmes
may be in the form of implementation of new system within the enterprise or takeover or merger
acquisition of the company. The way in which the change will be managed by the small -medium
enterprise makes all the differences in success or failure of the business. So it is necessary to
provide good change management training which supports the leader and manager to effectively
drive change throughout their organization. Below presented are the three stages which helps in
employing the leaders and managers for effective implementation of the change within TWSU.
Personal Resilience
This is one of the important skill which need to be developed among the managers and
leaders of the Small medium enterprises (Puppim de Oliveira and Jabbour, 2017). Suppose the
TWSU wants to implemented the change management regarding the cost reduction initiative
within the organization, so line manager have to lose value colleagues and team members and
also have to quickly learn to work with fewer people and resources. In this situation, providing
the support to colleagues, peers and senior managers and establishing proper routes for line
managers to get the things done is considered as an important part in managing the change within
the organization.
Trust-Building
The speed of the trust level among employees is directly proportional to the speed of
change within the firm. So manager of TWSU company have to inform their juniors employees
about the effect of such changes within the business (Chung and D’Annunzio-Green, 2018). So
this will help in developing the trust among other employees and hence this will support the
change management within Small medium enterprise.

Forcing clarity
When the details for the change properly worked out then line managers will support the
leaders in shaping such changes within TWSU. It will enhance the abilities of the employees to
deal with the uncertainties that occur within the business. So it is very important for the line
manager to force the clarity in the minds of the workforce as early as possible in order to
effectively implement the changes.
Accessing the impact of the resistance to change which may convert the leading and managing
style within the company
Resistance to change is referred as the refusal from the side of the workforce in order to
accept such changes. Resistance occurs when employees will not able to handle the changes that
occur during the entertainment of the change management programs within the business
(Sikalieh, Linge and Asiimwe, 2016). This impacts on the overall management and operations of
the business. At the time of resistance to change, leaders and managers have to actively handle
such problems and they also need to motivate and engage the workers towards understanding the
reasons behind such changes. Managing the resistance to change need not be solely a reactive
tactic for the change management practitioner within TWSU. Managing the resistance to change
is one of the important part for the success of all change efforts as it is a critical aspect of
transforming and modification within company structure and system (Analoui and Al-Madhoun,
2017). In order to overcome these situation, various steps need to be considered from the leaders
and managers to effectively implement such programme. Such steps are as follows:
Manager need to effectively communicate the resistance to change within the firm.
Effective Communication helps the managers to overcome the situation of resistance to
change within TWSU.
Leaders need to effectively engage the employees in listening to the directions of the
leaders.
In order to overcome the opposition regardless of how the companies normally manage
the change within the firm (Ceptureanu, 2015). Resistance can be addressed by allowing
time to employees for their input. It motivates them and also make them realise that they
are the part of the team and their suggestions matters.
