INTRODUCTION
Success of any business origination highly depends upon the effectiveness of the leaders.
Thus, it is necessary for them to possess effective style of leadership (Berg and et. al., 2016).
The present reflective piece revolves around the leading activities that should be implemented by
the Virgin group for effective functioning of the organisation.
MAIN BODY
There are various leadership style which Virgin group can make use of, however
choosing the right one will assure the success. As per the statement of Richard Branson, "People
are our greatest assets" I have observed that the most of the strategies that are imposed in the
company are employee-centred. Thus, the organisation should go with the delegating model of
the leadership. I believe that implementation of this style will allow all the employees with an
opportunity to reflect their own skills, calibre and abilities. However, this style eliminates the
proper guidance of the leaders but as per my views, today's generation keeps numerous
innovative and creative ideas which when applied to the procedures, can enhance the business
value of an entity. Further, the skills of lower level employees will get destroyed in case any
autocratic leader will be selected. Thus, I will suggest that the abilities of each and every
employee should got be promoted by letting them work individually. All the workforce that is
present in the entity will receive an opportunity to prove themselves with the help of delegating
model of leadership (Prabhakar and Yaseen, 2016). The ideas and thoughts of different minds
when introduced in the decision-making process then an effective outcome can be gained in a
combined form.
In addition to this, this technique will assist the firm in evaluating the performancethe
performance of the workers in an effective manner. The selected organisation can increase the
sense of responsibility among the team members by taking assistance from this leadership
model. The delegating model is also known as lassies faire style of leadership (Carayannis and
Harvardand Harvard, 2016). As the team management is the biggest strength of the Virgin
group, the possibilities of failure of delegating model is are less. Besides this, there are various
other benefits to the organization in different context. With regards to the managers, this tool
helps in reducing stress and brings promptness in their action. Also, it helps in increasing the
loyalty of the employees towards the managers. In context to the workers of the Virgin group,
this tool will can develop the professional knowledge and skills. Further, the self-esteem of them

will be boosted up by having a sense of achievement. However, it should be recognised that the
overall effectiveness of the company is essential to be attained with the selected tool. In this
order, I have observed that the entity will be able to increase the teamwork that will further be
benefited by it, it by enhancing the productivity and efficiency.
CONCLUSIONS
From the above analysis that has been made on the appropriateness of the delegating
model of leadership it can be concluded that Virgin group of companies should involve this tool
in the day-to-day decisions so that the organisation can increase the productivity and efficiency.
