Response to question 1:
The observation that can be made about my leadership or the leadership of others that
relates to this reading includes- a daring leadership style. I have a habit of taking up risks and
chances in order to take advantage of opportunity. I also try to understand a particular situation
by looking at the same from others perspectives and that actually makes me approachable and
this leadership style can be related to the readings. Moreover I have seen many leaders who have
become great leaders due to their ability to learn from their past experiences and mistakes.
Response to question 2:
The most surprising and encouraging statement for me in this chapter was that a person
can become curious only if they have a certain level of knowledge and awareness. This can
actually help us in improving our vulnerability skills (Libtips.org, 2020). Moreover another
encouraging factor for me was that a good leader is someone who keeps working towards
achievement of vulnerability skills that are necessary for daring leadership. Another fact that
surprised me was that vulnerability is often associated with weaknesses whereas according to the
book it is one of the most essential skills for an effective leader.
Response to question 3:
By reading this chapter I have learnt a lot of new things and I will try to incorporate those
into my leadership skills for becoming a better leader. For instance I will try to develop my
vulnerability skills in order to become a daring leader.
